श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच । सर्वत्र सर्वथा सर्वं सर्वदा व्योम्नि चिन्मये । साधु संभवति स्वच्छं शून्यत्वं ख इवाखिले ॥ || १ ||

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca | sarvatra sarvathā sarvaṃ sarvadā vyomni cinmaye | sādhu saṃbhavati svacchaṃ śūnyatvaṃ kha ivākhile || 1 ||

English

Shri Vasishtha said: Everywhere, in every way, always, in the space of pure consciousness, everything becomes pure, like the void in the sky.

हिन्दी

श्री वसिष्ठ ने कहा: हर जगह, हर तरह से, हमेशा, शुद्ध चेतना के आकाश में, हर चीज शुद्ध हो जाती है, जैसे आकाश में शून्यता।

यत्र चित्तत्र सर्गश्रीरव्योम्नि व्योम्नि वास्ति चित् । चिन्मयत्वात्पदार्थानां सर्वेषां नास्त्यचित्क्वचित् ॥ || २ ||

yatra cittattra sargaśrīravyomni vyomni vāsti cit | cinmayatvātpadārthānāṃ sarveṣāṃ nāstyacitkva cit || 2 ||

English

Wherever there is consciousness, there is the creation and the universe. Due to the nature of pure consciousness, there is no non-consciousness anywhere.

हिन्दी

जहाँ भी चेतना है, वहाँ सृष्टि और ब्रह्मांड है। शुद्ध चेतना की प्रकृति के कारण, कहीं भी अचेतनता नहीं है।

पदार्थजातं शैलादि यथा स्वप्ने पुरादि च । चिदेवैकं परं व्योम तथा जाग्रत्पदार्थभूः ॥ || ३ ||

padārthajātaṃ śailādi yathā svapne purādi ca | cidevaikaṃ paraṃ vyoma tathā jāgratpadārthabhūḥ || 3 ||

English

Just as objects like mountains appear in dreams, similarly, in the waking state, all objects are merely pure consciousness, the supreme space.

हिन्दी

जैसे स्वप्न में पहाड़ जैसी वस्तुएँ दिखाई देती हैं, उसी तरह, जाग्रत अवस्था में, सभी वस्तुएँ केवल शुद्ध चेतना, परम आकाश हैं।

पाषाणाख्यानमत्रेदं शृणु राम रसायनम् । पूर्व मयैव यद्दृष्टं चित्र प्रकृतमेव च ॥ || ४ ||

pāṣāṇākhyānamatredaṃ śṛṇu rāma rasāyanam | pūrva mayaiva yaddṛṣṭaṃ citra prakṛtameva ca || 4 ||

English

Listen, O Rama, to this wonderful story of the stone, which is like an elixir. Previously, I myself saw this strange and natural phenomenon.

हे राम, इस अद्भुत पत्थर की कथा को सुनो, जो एक अमृत के समान है। पहले, मैंने खुद इस विचित्र और प्राकृतिक घटना को देखा था।

अहं विदितवेद्यत्वात्कदाचित्पूर्णमानसः । त्यक्तुमिच्छुरिमं लोकव्यवहारं घनभ्रमम् ॥ || ५ ||

ahaṃ viditavedyatvātkadācitpūrṇamānasaḥ | tyaktumicchurimaṃ lokavyavahāraṃ ghanabhramam || 5 ||

English

I, having known the knowable, once had a full mind. I desired to abandon this worldly interaction, which is a dense delusion.

हिन्दी

मैं, जिसने ज्ञेय को जान लिया था, एक बार पूर्ण मन से चाहा कि इस संसारिक व्यवहार को, जो घनी भ्रांति है, छोड़ दूँ।

ध्यानैकतानतामेत्य शनैर्विश्रान्तये चिरम् | त्यक्ताजवं जवीभाव एकान्तार्थी शमं व्रजन् || ६ ||

dhyānaikatānatāmetya śanairviśrāntaye ciram | tyaktājavam javībhāva ekāntārthī śamam vrajan || 6 ||

English

Attaining single-minded focus through meditation, gradually seeking long-lasting rest, abandoning haste, becoming calm, seeking solitude, one proceeds towards peace.

हिन्दी

ध्यान से एकाग्रता प्राप्त करके, धीरे-धीरे लंबे समय तक विश्राम की ओर बढ़ते हुए, जल्दबाजी को त्यागकर, शांत होकर, एकांत की इच्छा रखने वाला, शांति की ओर जाता है।

इदं चिन्तितवानस्मि कस्मिंश्चिदमरालये | संस्थितो विविधाः पश्यन्भङ्गुरा जागतीर्गतीः || ७ ||

idaṃ cintitavānasmikasmiṃścidamarālaye | saṃsthito vividhāḥ paśyanbhaṅgurā jāgatīrgatīḥ || 7 ||

English

I have pondered this in some divine abode, situated there, observing the various transient states of the world.

हिन्दी

मैंने इस पर किसी दिव्य निवास में विचार किया है, वहाँ स्थित होकर, दुनिया की विविध अस्थायी अवस्थाओं को देखा है।

विरसा खल्वियं लोकस्थितिरापातसुन्दरी | न जातु सुखदा मन्ये कस्यचित्केनचित्क्वचित् || ८ ||

virasā khalviyaṃ lokasthitirāpātasundarī | na jātu sukhadā manye kasyacitkenacitkvacit || 8 ||

English

Indeed, this worldly existence is devoid of taste, seemingly beautiful but not truly joyful for anyone at any time.

हिन्दी

निश्चय ही, यह संसारिक अस्तित्व स्वादहीन है, दिखने में सुंदर लगता है पर किसी के लिए कभी भी सच्ची खुशी नहीं देता।

उद्वेगं जनयत्यन्तस्तीव्रसंवेगखेदतः | इमा दृश्यदृशो द्रष्टुरिष्टानिष्टफलप्रदाः || ९ ||

udvegaṃ janayatyantastīvrasaṃvegakhedataḥ | imā dṛśyadṛśo draṣṭurīṣṭāniṣṭaphalapradāḥ || 9 ||

English

It ultimately causes distress, due to intense agitation and sorrow. These visible objects bestow desired and undesired results upon the observer.

हिन्दी

अंत में यह उद्वेग पैदा करता है, तीव्र उत्तेजना और दुःख के कारण। ये दृश्य वस्तुएँ दर्शक को इच्छित और अनिच्छित फल देती हैं।

किमिदं दृश्यते किं वा प्रेक्षते कोऽहमेव वा | सर्व शान्तमजं व्योम चिन्मात्रात्मनि रिङ्गकम् || १० ||

kimidaṃ dṛśyate kiṃ vā prekṣate ko'hameva vā | sarva śāntamajaṃ vyoma cinmātrātmani riṅgakam || 10 ||

English

What is this that is seen? What is being observed? Who am I? All is calm, unborn, and the vast sky in the self, which is pure consciousness.

हिन्दी

यह क्या है जो दिखाई देता है? क्या देखा जा रहा है? मैं कौन हूँ? सब कुछ शांत, अजन्मा, और वह विशाल आकाश है जो स्वयं में शुद्ध चेतना है।

तस्मात्समस्तसिद्धेन्द्रदेवदैत्यादिदुर्गमंसुप्रदेशमितो गत्वा संगोप्यात्मानमात्मना || ११ ||

tasmātsamastasiddhendradevadaityādidurgamamsupradeśamito gatvā saṃgopyātmānamātmanā || 11 ||

English

Therefore, having gone to the most difficult places of the Siddhas, gods, and demons, one should protect oneself by oneself.

हिन्दी

इसलिए, सिद्धों, देवताओं और दैत्यों के सबसे कठिन स्थानों में जाकर, अपने आप को अपने आप से सुरक्षित रखना चाहिए।

अदृश्यः सर्वभूतानां निर्विकल्पसमाधिगःसमे स्वच्छे पदे शान्ते आसे विगतवेदनम् || १२ ||

adṛśyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ nirvikalpasamādhigaḥsame svacche pade śānte āse vigatavedanam || 12 ||

English

Invisible to all beings, attaining the state of nirvikalpa samadhi, one remains in the pure, peaceful state, free from pain.

हिन्दी

सभी प्राणियों के लिए अदृश्य, निर्विकल्प समाधि की अवस्था को प्राप्त करके, एक शुद्ध, शांत अवस्था में रहता है, पीड़ा से मुक्त।

तस्मात्को नु प्रदेशः स्यादत्यन्तं शून्यतां गतःयत्रैता नानुभूयन्ते पञ्च बाह्यार्थवेदनाः || १३ ||

tasmātko nu pradeśaḥ syādatyantaṃ śūnyatāṃ gataḥyatraitā nānubhūyante pañca bāhyārthavedanāḥ || 13 ||

English

Therefore, what place can there be that is completely empty, where these five external sensations are not experienced?

इसलिए, ऐसा कौन सा स्थान हो सकता है जो पूर्णतः खाली हो, जहाँ ये पाँच बाह्य संवेदनाएँ अनुभव नहीं की जातीं?

शब्दकाननवार्यब्दभूतौघाभिसमाकुलाःक्षोभयन्त्यथ संक्षुब्धास्तस्मान्मे गिरयोऽरयः || १४ ||

śabdakānanavāryabdabhūtaughābhisamākulāḥkṣobhayantyatha saṃkṣubdhāstasmānme girayo'rayaḥ || 14 ||

English

The mountains, filled with the tumultuous sounds of forests and oceans, cause disturbance, and thus they are disturbed.

हिन्दी

पर्वत, जंगलों और समुद्रों की भीषण ध्वनियों से भरे हुए, विचलन पैदा करते हैं, और इस प्रकार वे विचलित हो जाते हैं।

नानाविधा नगेन्द्राणामन्तरावलिता जनैःदेशा विषमया एव निःशेषा विषयाहिभिः || १५ ||

nānāvidhā nagendrāṇāmantarāvalitā janaiḥdeśā viṣamayā eva niḥśeṣā viṣayāhibhiḥ || 15 ||

English

The various regions, filled with different kinds of people and great mountains, are indeed uneven and completely filled with worldly objects.

विभिन्न प्रकार के लोगों और महान पर्वतों से भरे हुए विभिन्न क्षेत्र वास्तव में असमान और संपूर्ण रूप से संसारिक वस्तुओं से भरे हुए हैं।

जनैर्जलचरैर्व्याप्ताः सागरा नीरकुक्षयः | विविधारम्भसंक्षुब्धैर्नगराणीव नागरैः || १६ ||

janairjalacarairvyāptāḥ sāgarā nīrakuksayaḥ | vividhārambhasaṃkṣubdhairnagarāṇīva nāgaraiḥ || 16 ||

English

The oceans, filled with various aquatic creatures, are like cities bustling with people, agitated by diverse activities.

हिन्दी

जलचरों से भरे हुए समुद्र विभिन्न गतिविधियों से क्षुब्ध नगरों के समान हैं।

तटान्यद्र्यम्बुराशीनां लोकपालपुराणि च | भूताकुलानि शृङ्गाणि पातालकुहराणि च || १७ ||

taṭānyadryamburāśīnāṃ lokapālapurāṇi ca | bhūtākulāni śṛṅgāṇi pātālakuharāṇi ca || 17 ||

English

The shores of the mountains and oceans are like the cities of the guardians of the world, crowded with beings, peaks, and underground caves.

हिन्दी

पर्वतों और समुद्रों के तट लोकपालों के नगरों के समान हैं, जो प्राणियों, शिखरों और भूमिगत गुफाओं से भरे हुए हैं।

गायन्त्यनिलभांकारैर्नृत्यन्ति लतिकाः करैः | पुष्पैर्हसन्त्यगेन्द्राणां गुहा गहनकोटराः || १८ ||

gāyantyanilabhāṃkārairnṛtyanti latikāḥ karaiḥ | puṣpairhasantyagendrāṇāṃ guhā gahanakoṭarāḥ || 18 ||

English

The vines sing with the humming of the wind, dance with their tendrils, and laugh with flowers in the caves and dense hollows of the mountains.

हिन्दी

लताएँ हवा के गुंजन से गाती हैं, अपनी बेलों से नृत्य करती हैं, और पर्वतों की गुफाओं और घने खोहों में फूलों से हँसती हैं।

मौनिमीनमुनिस्पर्शकम्पिनालचलाम्बुजाः | सरस्यो विरसा एव वार्यावर्तविराविताः || १९ ||

maunimīnamunisparśakampinālacalāmbujāḥ | sarasyo virasā eva vāryāvartavirāvitāḥ || 19 ||

English

The lotuses, touched by the silent fish and trembling with their stalks, are tasteless, their charm diminished by the whirlpools of water.

मौन मछलियों के स्पर्श से कंपित डंठलों वाले कमल निरास हो गए हैं, जल के भँवरों से उनकी माधुर्य कम हो गया है।

पवनस्पर्शसंक्षुब्धतृणपांसुपताकिनी | रटत्यनिलभांकारैर्निर्झरोर्व्यप्यसंयता || २० ||

pavanasparśasaṃkṣubdhatṛṇapāṃsupatākinī | raṭatyani labhāṃkārairnirjharorvyapyasaṃyatā || 20 ||

English

The grass and dust, agitated by the touch of the wind, flutter like flags. The waterfall, resounding with the humming of the wind, flows uncontrollably.

हिन्दी

हवा के स्पर्श से क्षुब्ध घास और धूल, झंडियों के समान फड़कती हैं। हवा के गुंजन से गूँजता हुआ झरना अनियंत्रित रूप से बहता है।

तस्मादाकाशमाशून्यं कस्मिंश्चिद्दूरकोणके | अत्र तिष्ठाम्यवष्टभ्य योगयुक्तिमनिन्दिताम् || २१ ||

tasmādākāśamāśūnyaṃ kasmiṃściddūrakoṇake | atra tiṣṭhāmyavaṣṭabhya yogayuktimaniṇditaṃ || 21 ||

English

Therefore, I am in the void of the sky, in a distant corner, staying here with unblemished yoga practice.

हिन्दी

कस्मिंश्चिदेककोणेऽत्र कृत्वा कल्पनया कुटींवज्रोदरदृढं तस्यामन्तस्तिष्ठाम्यवासनम् || २२ ||

kasmiścidekakoṇe'tra kṛtvā kalpanayā kuṭīmvajrodaradṛḍhaṃ tasyāmantastiṣṭhāmyavāsanam || 22 ||

English

In some single corner here, having created a hut by imagination, as strong as a diamond, I dwell within it, without attachment.

किसी एक कोण में यहाँ, कल्पना से एक कुटी बनाकर, जो हीरे की तरह मजबूत है, मैं उसमें आसक्ति के बिना रहता हूँ।

इति संचिन्त्य यातोऽहमाकाशमसि निर्मलम् | यावत्तदपि पश्यामि सकलं विततान्तरम् || २३ ||

iti saṃcintya yāto'hamākāśamasi nirmalam | yāvattadapi paśyāmi sakalaṃ vitatāntaram || 23 ||

English

Thus thinking, I have gone to the pure sky, and I see everything spread out within it.

इस तरह सोचकर, मैं शुद्ध आकाश में गया हूँ, और मैं उसमें सब कुछ फैला हुआ देखता हूँ।

क्वचिद्भ्रमत्सिद्धगणं क्वचिदुद्गर्जदम्बुदम् | क्वचिद्विद्याधराधारं यक्षोत्क्षिप्तक्षयं क्वचित् || २४ ||

kvacidbhramatsiddhagaṇaṃ kvacidudgarjadambudam | kvacidvidyādharādhāraṃ yakṣotkṣiptakṣayaṃ kvacit || 24 ||

English

Sometimes I see a group of accomplished beings, sometimes a roaring cloud, sometimes a support of Vidyadharas, sometimes a Yaksha's destruction.

कभी मैं सिद्ध गणों को देखता हूँ, कभी गर्जना करते बादलों को, कभी विद्याधरों के आधार को, कभी यक्षों के विनाश को।

क्वचिद्भ्रमत्पुरवरं प्रारब्धसमरं क्वचित् | क्वचिद्द्र्वज्जलधरं क्वचिदुद्वृत्तयोगिनि || २५ ||

kvacidbhramatpuravaraṃ prārabdhasamaraṃ kvacit | kvaciddrvajjaladharaṃ kvacidudvṛttayogini || 25 ||

English

Sometimes I see a wandering great city, sometimes a commenced battle, sometimes a cloud bearing a flag, sometimes a liberated yogini.

हिन्दी

कभी मैं एक भटकती हुई महानगर देखता हूँ, कभी एक शुरू हुआ युद्ध, कभी एक झंडा लेकर बादल, कभी एक मुक्त योगिनी।

क्वचिद्दैत्यपुरोड्डीनसगन्धर्वपुरं क्वचित्क्वचिद्भ्रमद्ग्रहगणं तारकाकुलितं क्वचित् || २६ ||

kvaciddaityapuroḍḍīnasagandharvapuraṃ kvacitkvacidbhramadgrahagaṇaṃ tārakākulitaṃ kvacit || 26 ||

English

Sometimes the city of the Daityas is shaken, sometimes the city of the Gandharvas, sometimes the planets are wandering, and sometimes the stars are crowded.

कभी-कभी दैत्यों का नगर डोलता है, कभी-कभी गन्धर्वों का नगर, कभी-कभी ग्रह भटकते हैं, और कभी-कभी तारे भीड़ लगाते हैं।

क्वचित्खे खगसंघृष्टं क्वचित्क्रुद्धमहानिलम्क्वचिदुत्पातवलितं क्वचिन्मण्डलमण्डितम् || २७ ||

kvacitkhe khagasaṃghṛṣṭaṃ kvacitkruddhamahānilamkvacidutpātavalitaṃ kvacinmaṇḍalamaṇḍitam || 27 ||

English

Sometimes in the sky, birds are gathered, sometimes there is a strong wind, sometimes there are portents, and sometimes there are circles.

हिन्दी

कभी-कभी आकाश में पक्षी एकत्र होते हैं, कभी-कभी तेज हवा चलती है, कभी-कभी उत्पात होते हैं, और कभी-कभी मण्डल बनते हैं।

क्वचिदपूर्वभूतौघं नागरावलितं क्वचित्क्वचिदर्करथाक्रान्तं क्वचिदन्यरथोद्धुरम् || २८ ||

kvacidapūrvabhūtaughaṃ nāgarāvalitaṃ kvacitkvacidarkarathākrāntaṃ kvacidanyarathoddhuram || 28 ||

English

Sometimes there is a flood of unprecedented beings, sometimes it is surrounded by serpents, sometimes it is filled with chariots of the sun, and sometimes it is filled with other chariots.

कभी-कभी अपूर्व प्राणियों की भीड़ होती है, कभी-कभी सर्पों से घिरा होता है, कभी-कभी सूर्य के रथों से भरा होता है, और कभी-कभी अन्य रथों से भरा होता है।

क्वचिदादित्यदाहान्तं शशिशैत्यान्वितं क्वचित्क्वचित्क्षुद्रजनासह्यं क्वचिदग्न्यौष्ण्यदुर्गमम् || २९ ||

kvacidādityadāhāntaṃ śaśiśaityānvitaṃ kvacitkvacidkṣudrajanāsahyaṃ kvacidagnyauṣṇyadurgamam || 29 ||

English

Sometimes it is burnt by the sun, sometimes it is accompanied by the coolness of the moon, sometimes it is intolerable for small beings, and sometimes it is difficult to bear due to the heat of fire.

कभी-कभी सूर्य से जला हुआ होता है, कभी-कभी चंद्रमा की ठंडक से युक्त होता है, कभी-कभी छोटे प्राणियों के लिए असहनीय होता है, और कभी-कभी अग्नि के ताप से दुःसह होता है।

क्वचिदुत्तालवेतालं गरुडोड्डामरं क्वचित्क्वचित्सप्रलयाम्भोदं क्वचित्सप्रलयानिलम् || ३० ||

kvaciduttālavetālaṃ garuḍoḍḍāmaraṃ kvacitkvacitsapralayāmbhodaṃ kvacitsapralayānilam || 30 ||

English

Sometimes there are exalted spirits, sometimes Garuda is excited, sometimes there is a deluge, and sometimes there is a destructive wind.

कभी-कभी उत्ताल भूत होते हैं, कभी-कभी गरुड़ उत्तेजित होता है, कभी-कभी प्रलय की वर्षा होती है, और कभी-कभी प्रलय की हवा चलती है।

ततो भूतगणांस्त्यक्त्वा दूराद्दूरतरं गतः | प्राप्तवानहमेकान्तं शून्यमत्यन्तविस्तृतम् || ३१ ||

tato bhūtagaṇāṃstyaktvā dūrāddūrataraṃ gataḥ | prāptavānamekāntaṃ śūnyamatyantavistṛtam || 31 ||

English

Then, leaving behind the multitude of beings, I went very far away and reached a completely vast and empty solitude.

तब, भूतों के समूह को छोड़कर, मैं बहुत दूर चला गया और एक बिल्कुल विस्तृत और शून्य एकान्त प्राप्त किया।

अत्यन्तमन्दपवनं स्वप्नेऽप्यप्राप्यभूतकम् | मङ्गलोत्पातरहितमगम्यं विद्धि संसृतेः || ३२ ||

atyantamandapavanaṃ svapne'pyaprāpyabhūtakam | maṅgalotpātarahitamagamyaṃ viddhi saṃsṛteḥ || 32 ||

English

Know that place to be unreachable, devoid of auspicious and inauspicious omens, with extremely gentle breezes, and unattainable even in dreams.

हिन्दी

उस स्थान को अगम्य जानो, जो शुभ और अशुभ उत्पातों से रहित है, अत्यन्त मन्द पवन वाला है, और स्वप्न में भी अप्राप्य है।

कल्पिताथ मया तत्र कुटी प्रकटकोटरा | नीरन्ध्रकुड्यनिबिडा पद्मकुङ्मलसुन्दरी || ३३ ||

kalpitātha mayā tatra kuṭī prakaṭakoṭarā | nīrandhrakuḍyanibiḍā padmakuṅmalasundarī || 33 ||

English

Then, I imagined there a visible and hollow hut, filled with beautiful lotus flowers, with dense and water-filled pits.

तब, मैंने वहाँ एक दृश्यमान और खोखली कुटिया कल्पना की, जो सुन्दर कमल फूलों से भरी हुई थी, और जिसमें घने और पानी से भरे गड्ढे थे।

घुणक्षुण्णाङ्गपूर्णेन्दुबिम्बोदरमनोहरा | कह्लारकुन्दमन्दारपुष्पश्रीकोशशोभिता || ३४ ||

ghuṇakṣuṇṇāṅgapūrṇendubimbaudaramanoharā | kahlārakundamandārapuṣpaśrīkośaśobhitā || 34 ||

English

The hut was charming with a moon-like glow, adorned with beautiful flowers like kahlara, kunda, and mandara, and the surroundings were filled with the sweet hum of bees.

हिन्दी

कुटिया चन्द्रमा की तरह चमकीली और मनोहर थी, कहलार, कुन्द और मन्दार जैसे सुन्दर फूलों से सजी हुई थी, और आसपास भौंरों की मधुर गुंजार से भरा हुआ था।

समस्तभूतागम्यत्वं तत्र संकल्प्य चेतसा | अगम्ये सर्वभूतानामहमासं तदा ततः || ३५ ||

samastabhūtāgamyatvaṃ tatra saṅkalpya cetasā | agamye sarvabhūtānāmahamāsaṃ tadā tataḥ || 35 ||

English

Having imagined that place to be inaccessible to all beings with my mind, I remained there in that unreachable place.

हिन्दी

मन से उस स्थान को सभी भूतों के लिए अगम्य समझकर, मैं उस अगम्य स्थान में रहा।

बद्धपद्मासनः शान्तमनाः परममौनवान् | संवत्सरशतान्तेन निर्णीयोत्थानमात्मनः || ३६ ||

baddhapadmāsanaḥ śāntamanāḥ paramamounavān | saṃvatsarashatāntenirṇīyotthānamātmanaḥ || 36 ||

English

Sitting in the bound lotus posture, with a calm mind and observing complete silence, after a hundred years, one should decide to rise.

हिन्दी

निर्विकल्पसमाधिस्थो निद्रामुद्रामिवागतः | समः सौम्यनभःस्वस्थः समुत्कीर्ण इवाम्बरात् || ३७ ||

nirvikalpasamādhistho nidrāmudrāmivāgataḥ | samaḥ saumyanabhaḥsvasthaḥ samutkīrṇa ivāmbarāt || 37 ||

English

Absorbed in the state of nirvikalpa samadhi, as if in the sleep posture, calm, gentle, stable, and as if thrown out from the sky.

निर्विकल्प समाधि में स्थित, मानो निद्रा मुद्रा में आ गया हो, शांत, सौम्य, स्थिर, और मानो आकाश से फेंका हुआ।

चिरं यदनुसंधत्ते चेतः पश्यति तत्क्षणात् | चिरेण चाशापवनव्यक्तिवद्विततं यदा || ३८ ||

ciraṃ yadanusandhate cetaḥ paśyati tatkṣaṇāt | ciraṇa cāśāpavanavyaktivadvitatam yadā || 38 ||

English

Whatever the mind contemplates for a long time, it sees immediately. When it is spread out like the manifestation of the wind of hope over a long period.

तदा वर्षशतेनात्र बोधबीजं वृतान्तरम् | आसीन्मे हृदयक्षेत्रे कालमेकं विकासतः || ३९ ||

tadā varṣaśatenaātra bodhabījaṃ vṛtāntaram | āsīnme hṛdayakṣetre kālamekaṃ vikāsataḥ || 39 ||

English

Then, after a hundred years, the seed of enlightenment, covered by the inner skin, was in my heart field, blossoming for a moment.

saṃprabuddho'bhavaṃme'tha jīvaḥ saṃbuddhavedanaḥ | śiśirakṣīṇagātrasy madhāviva rasastaroḥ || 40 ||

English

Then, my life force became fully awakened, with awakened consciousness, like the sweetness of honey in the weakened body of winter.

The external senses have blossomed and the sequence of the intellect has gone | Like the essence of intoxication in the form of a flower in spring

māṃ prāṇapūritamupāgatasaṃvidaṃśamabhyāgataṃ tvahamiti prasūtaḥ piśācaḥ | icchāṅganāvivalito'tha kuto'pi sadyaḥ pronnāmasannamavāyurivogravṛkṣam || 43 ||
