ईश्वर उवाच | ततश्चिद्रूपमेवैकं सर्वसत्तान्तरास्थितम् | स्वानुभूतिमयं शुद्धं देवं रुद्रेश्वरं विदुः || १ ||

Īśvara uvāca | tataścidrūpamevaikaṃ sarvasattāntarāsthitam | svānubhūtimayaṃ śuddhaṃ devaṃ rudreśvaraṃ viduḥ || 1 ||

English

The Lord said: Then, the pure form of consciousness, which is the essence of all beings, is known as the divine Rudra, the Lord of the senses.

हिन्दी

ईश्वर ने कहा: तब, चेतना का शुद्ध रूप, जो सभी सत्ताओं का आत्मा है, रुद्र देव के रूप में जाना जाता है, जो इन्द्रियों का स्वामी है।

बीजं समस्तबीजानां सारं संसारसंसृतेः | कर्मणां परमं कर्म चिद्धातुं विद्धि निर्मलम् || २ ||

bījaṃ samastabījānāṃ sāraṃ saṃsārasaṃsṛteḥ | karmaṇāṃ paramaṃ karma ciddhātuṃ viddhi nirmalam || 2 ||

English

Know the pure element of consciousness as the seed of all seeds, the essence of worldly existence, and the supreme action among all actions.

हिन्दी

शुद्ध चेतना के तत्व को सभी बीजों का बीज, संसार की सार और सभी कर्मों में परम कर्म मानो।

कारणं कारणौघानामकारणमनाविलम् | भावनं भावनौघानामभाव्यमभवात्मकम् || ३ ||

kāraṇaṃ kāraṇaughānāmakāraṇamanāvilam | bhāvanaṃ bhāvanaughānāmabhāvyaṃabhavātmakam || 3 ||

English

It is the cause of all causes, uncaused and unblemished. It is the meditation of all meditations, unmeditated and of the nature of non-existence.

हिन्दी

यह सभी कारणों का कारण है, अकारण और निर्दोष। यह सभी ध्यानों का ध्यान है, अध्यान और अस्तित्व के स्वभाव से रहित।

चेतनं चेतनौघानां चेतनात्मनि चेतनम् | स्वं चेत्यचेतनं चेत्यपरमं भूरिभावनम् || ४ ||

cetanaṃ cetanaughānāṃ cetanātmani cetanam | svaṃ cetya cetanam aparamaṃ bhūribhāvanam || 4 ||

English

It is the consciousness of all consciousnesses, the consciousness within the self. It is the consciousness that perceives the non-conscious, the supreme and abundant meditation.

हिन्दी

यह सभी चेतनाओं की चेतना है, आत्मा में चेतना। यह वह चेतना है जो अचेतन को देखती है, परम और विपुल ध्यान।

आलोकालोकममलमनालोक्यमलोकजम् | आलोकं बीजबीजौघं चिद्धनं विमलं विदुः || ५ ||

ālokālokamamalamanālokyamalokajam | ālokaṃ bījabījaughaṃ ciddhanaṃ vimalaṃ viduḥ || 5 ||

English

It is the pure light, the source of all light, unseen and born of the unseen. It is the seed of all seeds, the pure element of consciousness, known as the immaculate.

हिन्दी

यह शुद्ध प्रकाश है, सभी प्रकाश का स्रोत, अदृश्य और अदृश्य से उत्पन्न। यह सभी बीजों का बीज है, शुद्ध चेतना का तत्व, जिसे निर्मल कहा जाता है।

असत्यं सन्मयं शान्तं सत्यासत्यविवर्जितम् | महासत्तादिसत्तान्ते चिन्मात्रं विद्धि नेतरत् || ६ ||

asatyaṃ sanmayam śāntaṃ satyāsatyavivarjitam | mahāsattādisattānte cinmātraṃ viddhi netarat || 6 ||

English

Know that the ultimate reality is neither true nor false, it is peaceful, beyond truth and falsehood, and it is pure consciousness from the beginning to the end.

हिन्दी

जानो कि परम सत्ता न सत्य है न असत्य, यह शान्त है, सत्य और असत्य से परे है, और यह आदि से अन्त तक चिन्मात्र है।

स्वयं भवति रागात्मा रञ्जको रञ्जनं रजः | स्वयमाकाशमप्याशु कुड्यं भवति मण्डितम् || ७ ||

svayaṃ bhavati rāgātmā rañjako rañjanaṃ rajaḥ | svayamākāśamapyāśu kuḍyaṃ bhavati maṇḍitam || 7 ||

English

By itself, passion becomes the essence of attachment, the colorer, the colored, and the dust. Even the sky itself quickly becomes an adorned wall.

हिन्दी

स्वयं ही, राग आसक्ति का सार बन जाता है, रंगने वाला, रंगा हुआ, और धूल। यहां तक कि आकाश भी जल्दी ही एक सजा हुआ दीवार बन जाता है।

अस्मिंश्चिच्चेतसि स्फारे जगन्मरुमरीचयः | स्फुरिताः प्रस्फुरिष्यन्ति प्रस्फुरन्ति च कोटयः || ८ ||

asmiṃścicchetaasi sphāre jagannmarumarīcayaḥ | sphuritāḥ prasphuriṣyanti prasphuranti ca koṭayaḥ || 8 ||

English

In this expansive consciousness, the mirages of the world will shine, will continue to shine, and will shine in countless ways.

हिन्दी

इस विस्तृत चेतना में, संसार के मृगतृष्णा चमकेंगे, चमकते रहेंगे, और अनगिनत तरीकों से चमकेंगे।

स्वसत्तामात्रसंपन्नं पदमस्मिन्स्वतेजसि | न किंचन च संपन्नमन्यदौष्ण्यादिवानले || ९ ||

svasattāmātrasaṃpannaṃ padamasminnsvatejasi | na kiṃcana ca saṃpannaṃanydauṣṇyādivānale || 9 ||

English

In this self-luminous state, the position is fully endowed with its own existence. Nothing else is accomplished, just like heat in fire.

हिन्दी

इस स्वयं-प्रकाशित अवस्था में, पद पूर्णतः अपने अस्तित्व से सम्पन्न है। कुछ और प्राप्त नहीं होता, जैसे आग में गर्मी।

गर्भीकृतमहामेरुं परमाणुसमं विदुः | आच्छादितमहामेरुं परमाणुसमं विदुः || १० ||

garbhīkṛtamahāmeruṃ paramāṇusamaṃ viduḥ | ācchāditamahāmeruṃ paramāṇusamaṃ viduḥ || 10 ||

English

They know the great mountain Meru, which is conceived and covered, to be like the smallest particle.

हिन्दी

उन्हें महान पर्वत मेरु को, जो सोचा और ढंका हुआ है, सबसे छोटे कण के समान जानना चाहिए।

गर्भीकृतमहाकल्पो निमेषोऽसावुदाहृतः । आक्रान्तकल्पेनानेन न संत्यक्ता निमेषता || ११ ||

garbhīkṛtamahākalpo nimeṣo'sāvudāhṛtaḥ | ākrāntakalpenānenā na saṃtyaktā nimeṣatā || 11 ||

English

The great moment, which is conceived, is called a moment. By this moment, the moment is not abandoned.

हिन्दी

जो महान कल्प गर्भित है, उसे निमेष कहा जाता है। इस कल्प से निमेष नहीं छोड़ा जाता।

बालाग्रकादप्यणुना व्याप्तानेनाखिला मही । सप्ताब्धिवसनाप्युर्वी नास्यान्तमधिगच्छति || १२ ||

bālāgrakādapyṇunā vyāptānenākhalā mahī | saptābdhivāsanāpyurvī nāsyāntamadhigacchati || 12 ||

English

Even by the tip of a hair, the entire earth is pervaded. The earth, which is the abode of seven oceans, does not reach its end.

हिन्दी

एक बाल के अग्र से भी, पूरी पृथ्वी व्याप्त है। जो सात समुद्रों का निवास है, वह पृथ्वी अपने अंत तक नहीं पहुँचती।

अकुर्वन्नेव संसाररचनां कर्तृतां गतः । कुर्वन्नेव महाकर्म न करोत्येव किंचन || १३ ||

akurvannēva saṃsāraracanāṃ kartṛtāṃ gataḥ | kurvannēva mahākarma na karotyēva kiñcana || 13 ||

English

Without doing anything, he has attained the status of the creator of the world. Even while doing great deeds, he does not do anything.

हिन्दी

कुछ न करके भी, उसने संसार के रचयिता का दर्जा प्राप्त कर लिया है। महान कर्म करते हुए भी, वह कुछ नहीं करता।

द्रव्यमप्येष निर्द्रव्यो निर्द्रव्योऽपि हि द्रव्यवान् । अकायोऽपि महाकायो महाकायोऽप्यकायवान् || १४ ||

dravyamapyēṣa nirdravyō nirdravyō'pi hi dravyavān | akāyō'pi mahākāyō mahākāyō'pyakāyavān || 14 ||

English

This substance is without substance, and even without substance, it is substantial. It is without form, and even without form, it is of great form.

हिन्दी

यह द्रव्य द्रव्य से रहित है, और द्रव्य से रहित होने पर भी द्रव्यवान है। यह आकार से रहित है, और आकार से रहित होने पर भी महान आकार वाला है।

अद्याप्येष सदा प्रातः प्रातरप्यद्यतां गतः । न वाद्यमद्य न प्रातस्त्वद्य प्रातश्च वा सदा || १५ ||

adyāpyēṣa sadā prātaḥ prātarapyadyatāṃ gataḥ | na vādyamadya na prātastvadya prātaśca vā sadā || 15 ||

English

Even today, this is always the morning. Even in the morning, it has become today. There is no today, no morning, but always today and morning.

हिन्दी

आज भी, यह हमेशा सुबह है। सुबह भी, यह आज बन गया है। न आज है, न सुबह है, पर हमेशा आज और सुबह है।

भिंडिं भिंडिं खिले मत्ता पुरुपिच्छिलिसालघम् | विविच्चलित्सदालोका लासो गुलुगुलुः शिली || १६ ||

bhiṃḍiṃ bhiṃḍiṃ khile matta purupicchilisālagham | viviccalitsadālokā lāso guluguluḥ śilī || 16 ||

English

The bees buzz and the flowers bloom, the peacocks dance with joy, and the trees sway in the breeze.

हिन्दी

भौंरे बुनबुना रहे हैं और फूल खिले हुए हैं, मोर नाच रहे हैं और पेड़ हवा में झूल रहे हैं।

इत्याद्यनर्थकं वाक्यं तथा सत्यं स एव च | न तदस्ति न यत्सत्यं न तदस्ति न यत्त्वसौ || १७ ||

ityādyanarthakaṃ vākyaṃ tathā satyaṃ sa eva ca | na tadasti na yatsatyaṃ na tadasti na yattvasau || 17 ||

English

Such meaningless words are indeed true, but that which is true does not exist, and that which is not true does not exist either.

हिन्दी

ऐसे अनर्थक वाक्य भी सत्य हैं, पर जो सत्य है वह नहीं है, और जो नहीं है वह भी नहीं है।

यस्मिन्सर्वं यतः सर्वं यः सर्वं सर्वतश्च यः | यश्च सर्वमयो नित्यं तस्मै सर्वात्मने नमः || १८ ||

yasmin sarvaṃ yataḥ sarvaṃ yaḥ sarvaṃ sarvataśca yaḥ | yaśca sarvamayo nityaṃ tasmai sarvātmane namaḥ || 18 ||

English

To that which is everything, from which everything comes, which is everything and everywhere, and which is the eternal essence of everything, I bow.

हिन्दी

उसके लिए जो सब कुछ है, जिससे सब कुछ आता है, जो सब कुछ और हर जगह है, और जो सब कुछ का अनंत सार है, मैं प्रणाम करता हूँ।

यत्रान्तरालगहनेन विलासवत्या हेलाविलोलघनसर्जितयामलेन | मल्लेन पल्लवदलामलमालितानां लक्ष्मीलताऽविरलिता वलितेव मुष्टिः || १९ ||

yatrāntarālagahanena vilāsavatyā helāvilolaghanasarjitayāmalena | mallen pallavadalāmalamālitānāṃ lakṣmīlatā'viralitā valiteva muṣṭiḥ || 19 ||

English

Where, in the dense inner space, the playful breeze creates a delightful movement, the tender leaves of the plants sway gently, as if the goddess Lakshmi herself has descended in the form of a fistful of flowers.

हिन्दी

जहाँ घने अंतराल में, खेल-खेल में हवा एक आनंददायक गति बनाती है, पौधों के कोमल पत्ते हलके से झूलते हैं, जैसे कि देवी लक्ष्मी खुद फूलों के रूप में मुट्ठी भर उतरी हो।
