śāntā vyavaharanto'pi sattvasthāḥ saṃyatendriyāḥ | nityaṃ paśyanti tajjyotirna dvaitekyena vāsanā || 45 ||

English

Those who are peaceful, even while engaged in worldly activities, are established in sattva with controlled senses; they always see that light, not with the duality of oneness.

antarmukhatayā sarvaṃ cidvahnau trijagattṛṇam | juhvato'ntarnivartante muneścittādivibhramāḥ || 46 ||

English

By turning inward, everything becomes fuel for the fire of consciousness, and the delusions of the mind of the sage are consumed.

vivekaviśadaṃ cetaḥ sattvamityabhidhīyate | bhūyaḥ phalati no mohaṃ dagdhabījamivāṅkuram || 47 ||

English

The mind that is clear with discrimination is called sattva. It does not bear the fruit of delusion again, like a seed that has been burnt.

yāvatsattvaṃ vimūḍhāntaḥ punarjananadharmiṇī | cittaśabdābhidhānoktā viparyasyati bodhataḥ || 48 ||

English

As long as there is ignorance within, the mind, which is called by the name 'citta', continues to be subject to rebirth and is contrary to knowledge.

prāptaprāpyo bhavānnāma sattvabhāvamupāgatam | cittaṃ jñānāgninā dagdhaṃ na bhūyaḥ parirohati || 49 ||

English

Having attained the attainable, you have reached the state of sattva. The mind burnt by the fire of knowledge does not sprout again.

saṃrohatīṣaṇāviddhaṃ yathā paraśunāgninā | na tu jñānāgninirdagdhaṃ prabodhaviśadaṃ manaḥ || 50 ||

English

Just as a tree struck by an axe and fire does not grow again, so too a mind burnt by the fire of knowledge does not become deluded again.

brahmabṛṃhaiva hi jagajjagacca brahmabṛṃhaṇam | vidyate nānayorbhedaścidghanabrahmaṇoriva || 51 ||

English

Indeed, the world is Brahman, and Brahman is the world | There is no difference between the two, like consciousness and Brahman || 51 ||

cidantarasti trijaganmarice tīkṣṇatā yathā | nātaścijjagatī bhinne tasmātsadasatī mudhā || 52 ||

English

There is no difference within consciousness, just as there is no difference in the sharpness of a mirror | Therefore, the world of consciousness is not different from Brahman, foolish one || 52 ||

śabdaśabdārthasaṃketavāsanenaha na saṃvidā | cidvyomatvādubhe bhātastyajātaḥ sadasantī || 53 ||

English

The association of words and their meanings does not constitute true knowledge | Both appear due to the nature of consciousness, abandon the notion of existence and non-existence || 53 ||

acinmayatvānnāsi tvaṃ svātmā kimiva rodiṣi | acinmayatve jagatāmabhāve kalpanaṃ kutaḥ || 54 ||

English

You are not non-conscious, why do you weep for yourself | If the world is non-conscious, where is the imagination || 54 ||

cinmayaṃ cetsadā sarvaṃ taccittvaṃ pravicāraya | śuddhaṃ sattvamanādyantaṃ tatrāṅga kalanā kutaḥ || 55 ||

English

If everything is always consciousness, then contemplate that consciousness | Pure, eternal, without beginning or end, where is the imagination there || 55 ||

cidātmāsi niraṃśo'si pārāvāravivarjitaḥ | rūpaṃ smara nijaṃ sphāraṃ mā'smṛtyā saṃmito bhava || 56 ||

English

You are the conscious Self, without parts, beyond the pairs of opposites. Remember your own expansive form, do not forget and become deluded.

tāṃ svasattāṃ gataḥ sarvamasarvaṃ bhāvayodayī | tādṛgrūpo'si śānto'si cidasi brahmarūpyasi || 57 ||

English

Having attained that state of being, you become all and not all, the cause of all manifestations. You are of such a nature, peaceful, conscious, and identical with Brahman.

cicchilodaramevāsi nāsi nānāsyathāpyasi | yosi sosi na sosīva sadasyasadasi svabhāḥ || 58 ||

English

You are the essence of pure consciousness, you are not, yet you are many, you are who you are, not who you are not, you are the truth of truths.

yaḥ padārthaviśeṣo'ntarnā tvaṃ na hyeva so'sti te | tadasya tadasi svasthaścidghnātmannamo'stu te || 59 ||

English

Whatever specific object is within, you are not that, nor is it in you. That is yours, that you are, peaceful, conscious being, salutations to you.

English

You are the pure, expansive, unbounded, and indestructible consciousness, free from beginning and end. Be at peace, O embodiment of pure consciousness, free from the limitations of the physical body. Salutations to you, the playful abode of the entire universe.
