śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca | kusumāpūrṇakalpābhra-kuntale tasya mūrdhani | kalpāṅgamahamadrākṣaṃ śākhācakramiva sthitam || 1 ||
Shri Vasistha said: On the crown of his head, I saw a mass of flowers resembling a cloud, standing like a wheel of branches.
श्री वसिष्ठ ने कहा: उसके सिर पर फूलों की एक घनी माला जैसे बादल के समान दिखाई दी, जो शाखाओं के चक्र के समान स्थित थी।
पुष्परेण्वभ्रवलितं रत्नस्तबकदन्तुरम् | उत्सेधनिर्जिताकाशं शृङ्गे शृङ्गमिवार्पितम् || २ ||
puṣpareṇvabhravalitaṃ ratnastabakadanturam | utsedhanirjitākāśaṃ śṛṅge śṛṅgamivārpitam || 2 ||
Covered with flowers and clouds, adorned with jewel-like clusters of teeth, it stood tall, conquering the sky, as if placed peak upon peak.
फूलों और बादलों से ढका हुआ, रत्नों के समान दाँतों के गुच्छों से सजा हुआ, यह ऊँचा खड़ा था, आकाश को जीतता हुआ, जैसे पर्वत के शिखर पर शिखर रखा हो।
ताराद्विगुणपुष्पौघं मेघद्विगुणपल्लवम् | रश्मिद्विगुणरेण्वभ्रं तडिद्द्विगुणमञ्जरीम् || ३ ||
tārādviguṇapuṣpaughaṃ meghadviguṇapallavam | raśmidviguṇareṇvabhraṃ taḍiddviguṇamañjarīm || 3 ||
The mass of flowers was twice as bright as the stars, the sprouts were twice as dense as the clouds, the dust was twice as radiant as the rays, and the buds were twice as brilliant as the lightning.
फूलों की घनी माला तारों से दोगुनी चमकीली थी, अंकुर बादलों से दोगुने घने थे, धूल किरणों से दोगुनी चमकीली थी, और कलियाँ बिजली से दोगुनी चमकीली थीं।
स्कन्धेषु किन्नरीगीतद्विगुणभ्रमरस्वनम् | दोलालोलाप्सरोलोकद्विगुणीकृतपल्लवम् || ४ ||
skandheṣu kinnarīgītadviguṇabhramarasvanam | dolālolāpsarolokadviguṇīkṛtapallavam || 4 ||
On the shoulders, the sound of the bees was twice as sweet as the songs of the Kinnaras, and the sprouts were twice as enchanting as the swaying Apsaras.
कंधों पर, भौंरों की आवाज किन्नरों के गीतों से दोगुनी मधुर थी, और अंकुर लहराती अप्सराओं से दोगुने मोहक थे।
सिद्धगन्धर्वसंघातद्विगुणोत्थविहंगमम् | रत्नकान्त्यच्छनीहारद्विगुणत्वग्वृतांशुकम् || ५ ||
siddhagandharvasaṅghātadviguṇotthavihangamam | ratnakāntyacchanīhāradviguṇatvagvṛtāṃśukam || 5 ||
The birds were twice as numerous as the assembly of Siddhas and Gandharvas, and the garments were twice as radiant as the lustrous necklaces of jewels.
पक्षी सिद्धों और गंधर्वों की सभा से दोगुने थे, और वस्त्र रत्नों की चमकीली हारों से दोगुने चमकीले थे।
चन्द्रबिम्बसमाश्लेषद्विगुणाङ्गबृहत्फलम् | मूलसंलीनकल्पाभ्रद्विगुणीकृतपर्वकम् || ६ ||
candrabimbasamāśleṣadviguṇāṅgabṛhatphalam | mūlasaṃlīnakalpābhradviguṇīkṛtaparvakam || 6 ||
The fruit is twice as large as the moon's orb, and the joints are doubled like the clouds merged with the roots.
फल चंद्रमा के मंडल के दोगुने बड़े हैं, और जोड़ मूल से मिले बादलों की तरह दोगुने हैं।
सुरसंवलितस्कन्धं पत्रविश्रान्तकिन्नरम् | निकुञ्जकुञ्जजीमूतं कच्छसुप्तसुरादिकम् || ७ ||
surasaṃvalitaskandhaṃ patraviśrāntakinnaram | nikuñjakuñjajīmūtaṃ kacchasuptasurādikam || 7 ||
The shoulders are adorned with celestial beings, and the leaves are resting places for Kinnaras. The groves are filled with clouds, and the tortoises are asleep with the gods.
कंधे देवताओं से सजे हैं, और पत्ते किन्नरों के विश्राम स्थान हैं। झुंड बादलों से भरे हैं, और कछुए देवताओं के साथ सो रहे हैं।
स्वाकारविपुलं भृङ्गानुत्सार्य वलयस्वनैः | अप्सरोभ्रमरीभिश्च गृहीतकुसुमान्तरम् || ८ ||
svākāravipulaṃ bhṛṅgānutsārya valayasvanaiḥ | apsarobhramarībhiśca gṛhītakusumāntaram || 8 ||
The bees, driven away by the sound of the bracelets, are numerous in their own form. The Apsaras and bees have taken the inner flowers.
भृंगों को कंगनों की आवाज से भगा दिया गया है, और वे अपने रूप में बहुत सारे हैं। अप्सराएँ और भृंग अंदर के फूलों को ले चुके हैं।
सुरकिंनरगन्धर्वविद्याधरवरान्वितम् | जगज्जालमिवानन्तदशाशाकाशपूरकम् || ९ ||
surakiṃnaragandharvavidyādharavarānvitam | jagajjālamivānantadaśāśākāśapūrakam || 9 ||
Adorned with the best of celestial beings, Kinnaras, Gandharvas, and Vidyadharas, it is like a web of the world, filling the endless sky with hope.
देवताओं, किन्नरों, गंधर्वों और विद्याधरों से सजा हुआ, यह संसार के जाल की तरह है, जो अनंत आकाश को आशा से भरता है।
नीरन्ध्रकलिकाजालं नीरन्ध्रमृदुपल्लवम् | नीरन्ध्रविकसत्पुष्पं नीरन्ध्रवनमालितम् || १० ||
nīrandhrakalikājālaṃ nīrandhramṛdupallavam | nīrandhravikasatpuṣpaṃ nīrandhravanamālitam || 10 ||
The web of water-filled buds, the tender leaves filled with water, the blooming flowers filled with water, and the forest adorned with water.
पानी से भरे कलिकाओं का जाल, पानी से भरे कोमल पत्ते, पानी से भरे खिले फूल, और पानी से सजा हुआ वन।
नीरन्ध्रमञ्जरीपुञ्जं नीरन्ध्रमणिगुच्छकम् | नीरन्ध्रांशुकरत्नाढ्यं लताविलसनाकुलम् || ११ ||
nīrandhramañjarīpuñjaṃ nīrandhramaṇigucchakam | nīrandhrāṃśukaratnāḍhyaṃ latāvilasanākulam || 11 ||
The place is filled with clusters of blossoms and bunches of jewels, and it is adorned with precious gems and garlands, and it is crowded with creeping plants.
यह स्थान फूलों के झुंड और रत्नों के गुच्छों से भरा है, और यह मूल्यवान रत्नों और मालाओं से सजा है, और यह लताओं से भरा है।
तस्य कक्षेषु कुञ्जेषु लतापत्रेषु पर्वसु | पुष्पेष्वालयसंलीनान्विहगान्दृष्टवानहम् || १३ ||
tasya kakṣeṣu kuñjeṣu latāpatreṣu parvasu | puṣpeṣvālayasaṃlīnānvihagāndṛṣṭavānaham || 13 ||
In its chambers, in its bowers, on its leaves, and in its flowers, I have seen birds nesting in the abodes.
उसके कक्षों, उसके कुंजों, उसके पत्तों और उसके फूलों में, मैंने पक्षियों को घोंसले में देखा है।
निशानाथकलाखण्डमृणालशकलैधितान् | अर्जुनाम्भोजिनीकन्दकवलान्ब्रह्मसारसान् || १४ ||
niśānāthakalākhaṇḍamṛṇālaśakalaidthitān | arjunāmbhojinīkandakavalānbrahmasārasān || 14 ||
The birds are adorned with the fragments of the moon's rays and the lotus stalks, and they are the swans of the lotus ponds.
पक्षी चंद्र की किरणों के टुकड़ों और कमल की डंठलों से सजे हैं, और ये कमल तालाबों के हंस हैं।
विरंचेरथ हंसानां पोतकान्सामगायिनः | ॐकारवेदसुहृदो ब्रह्मविद्यानुशासनान् || १५ ||
virañcera atha haṃsānāṃ potakānsāmagāyinaḥ | oṃkāravedasuhṛdo brahmavidyānuśāsanān || 15 ||
Then, the swans, singing in harmony with the Vedic hymns, are the friends of the Omkara Veda and the teachers of Brahma Vidya.
फिर, हंस, वेदिक स्तोत्रों के साथ सामंजस्य में गाते हैं, और वे ओंकार वेद के मित्र और ब्रह्म विद्या के शिक्षक हैं।
उद्गीर्णमन्त्रनिचयान्स्वाहाकारनिभस्वनान् | अस्थिनैकतडित्पुञ्जनीलमेघसमोपमान् || १६ ||
udgīrṇamantranicayānsvāhākāranibhasvanān | asthinaitakaṭitpuñjanīlameghasamopamān || 16 ||
The swans, with their chants and the sound of 'Svaha,' are like the shining lightning in the dark clouds.
हंस, अपने मंत्रों और 'स्वाहा' की ध्वनि के साथ, अंधेरे बादलों में चमकती बिजली के समान हैं।
देवैर्निरीक्षितान्नित्यं यज्ञवेदिलतादलान्| शुकान्कार्शानवाञ्छयामाञ्छिशूञ्छिखिशिखाशिखान् || १७ ||
devairnirīkṣitānniyaṃ yajñavedilatādalān| śukānkārśānavāñchayāmāñchiśūñchikhīśikhāśikhān || 17 ||
The gods always watch over the beautiful creepers of the sacrificial altar, the parrots, the thin ones, the desirous ones, the children, the peacocks, and the crests.
देवता हमेशा यज्ञ वेदी की सुंदर लताओं, तोतों, दुबलों, इच्छुकों, बच्चों, मोरों और चोटियों पर नजर रखते हैं।
गौरीरक्षितबर्हौघान्कौमारान्वरबर्हिणः स्कन्दोपन्यस्तनिःशेषशैवविज्ञानकोविदान् || १८ ||
gaurīrakṣitabarhaughānkaumārānvarabarhiṇaḥ skandopanyastaniḥśeṣaśaivavijñānakovidān || 18 ||
Those who are well-versed in the complete knowledge of Śiva, who protected the peacock-feather adorned youths, who placed the entirety of their being upon Skanda.
जो शिव के पूर्ण ज्ञान में निपुण हैं, जिन्होंने मोरपंखों से सजे हुए कुमारों की रक्षा की, और जिन्होंने अपना सम्पूर्ण अस्तित्व स्कन्द पर अर्पित कर दिया।
व्योम्नैव जातनष्टानां महतां व्योमपक्षिणाम्| बन्धूनाबद्धनिलयाञ्छरदभ्रसमाकृतीन् || १९ ||
vyomnaiva jātanaṣṭānāṃ mahatāṃ vyomapakṣiṇām| bandhūnābaddhanilayāñcharadabhrasamākṛtīn || 19 ||
Those who are born and lost in the sky, the great sky birds, have relatives who are bound to their nests, resembling autumn clouds.
जो आकाश में जन्मे और खो गए हैं, वे महान आकाश पक्षी, उनके घोंसलों में बंधे हुए संबंधियों के साथ, शरद के बादलों के समान हैं।
विरञ्चिहंसजानन्यानन्यानग्निशुकोद्भवान्कौमारबर्हिजानन्यानन्यानम्बरपक्षिजान || २० ||
viraṃcihaṃsajānanyānanyānagniśukodbhavānkaumārabarhijānanyānanyānambarapakṣijān || 20 ||
Some are born from the swans of Brahma, others from fire-born parrots, some from young peacocks, and others from sky birds.
कुछ ब्रह्मा के हंसों से उत्पन्न होते हैं, कुछ अग्नि-जन्म तोतों से, कुछ छोटे मोरों से, और कुछ आकाश के पक्षियों से।
द्वितुण्डांश्च भरद्वाजान्हेमचूडान्विहंगमान्| कलविङ्कबलान्गृध्रान्कोकिलान्क्रौञ्चकुक्कुटान् || २१ ||
dvituṇḍāṃśca bharadvājānhemacūḍānvihāṅgamān| kalaviṅkabalāngṛdhrānkokilānkrauñcakukkuṭān || 21 ||
The two-beaked ones, the Bharadvaja birds with golden crests, the flying birds, the sparrows, the vultures, the cuckoos, the curlews, and the roosters.
दो चोंच वाले, सुनहरी चोटी वाले भरद्वाज पक्षी, उड़ने वाले पक्षी, गौरैया, गिद्ध, कोयल, कुरला और मुर्गे।
भासचाषबलाकादीन्बहूनन्यांश्च राघव | भूतौघं जगतीवाहं दृष्टवांस्तत्र पक्षिणः || २२ ||
bhāsacāṣabalākādīnbahūnanyāṃśca rāghava | bhūtaughaṃ jagatīvāhaṃ dṛṣṭvāṃstatra pakṣiṇaḥ || 22 ||
O Raghava, I saw various birds like swans, cranes, and many others, and a host of beings on the earth.
हे रघुनाथ, मैंने वहाँ हंस, बगुला और अन्य कई पक्षियों को देखा, और पृथ्वी पर भी बहुत से जीवों को देखा।
दक्षिणस्कन्धशाखायां स्थितायां वै दवीयसि | अथाहं दृष्टवान्पुष्टपत्रायामम्बरस्थितः || २३ ||
dakṣiṇaskandhaśākhāyāṃ sthitāyāṃ vai davīyasi | athāhaṃ dṛṣṭavānpūṣṭapatrāyāmambarasthitaḥ || 23 ||
Then, standing in the sky, I saw a branch on the southern side, which was laden with rich leaves.
तब, आकाश में खड़े होकर, मैंने दक्षिण दिशा की एक शाखा देखी, जो समृद्ध पत्तों से भरी हुई थी।
काले काकोलवलयं मञ्जरीजालमालितम् | लोकालोकाचलेऽरण्ये कल्पाभ्रौघमिव स्थितम् || २४ ||
kāle kākolavalayaṃ mañjarījālamālitam | lokālokācale'raṇye kalpābhraughamiva sthitam || 24 ||
In the forest of Lokāloka mountain, it stood like a mass of clouds at the end of the world, adorned with a garland of buds and surrounded by a circle of crows.
लोकालोक पर्वत के वन में, यह विश्व के अंत की बादलों की भीड़ की तरह खड़ा था, कलियों की माला से सजा हुआ और कौओं के घेरे से घिरा हुआ।
तत्र पश्याम्यहं यावदेकान्ते स्कन्धकोटरे | विचित्रकुसुमास्तीर्णे विविधामोदशालिनि || २५ ||
tatra paśyāmyahaṃ yāvadekānte skandhakoṭare | vicitra kusumāstīrṇe vividhāmodaśālini || 25 ||
There, I saw in a secluded part of the hollow of the tree trunk, which was covered with various beautiful flowers and filled with diverse fragrances.
वहाँ, मैंने वृक्ष के खोखले तने के एकांत हिस्से में देखा, जो विभिन्न सुंदर फूलों से ढका हुआ था और विविध सुगंधों से भरा हुआ था।
पुण्यकृद्योषितां स्वर्गे प्रियस्तबकवासिताः | अपरिक्षुभिताकाराः सभायां वायसाः स्थिताः || २६ ||
puṇyakṛdyoṣitāṃ svarge priyastabakavāsitāḥ | aparikṣubhitākārāḥ sabhāyāṃ vāyasāḥ sthitāḥ || 26 ||
In heaven, the virtuous women, dear to the tabaka flowers, stood in the assembly hall, undisturbed in their form, like crows.
स्वर्ग में, पुण्य कर्म वाली स्त्रियाँ, जो तबक फूलों के प्रिय थे, सभा में अविचलित रूप में कौओं की तरह खड़ी थीं।
विभेद्यमेघा वातेन समेनेवापसारिताःतेषां मध्ये स्थितः श्रीमान्भुशुण्डः प्रोन्नताकृतिः || २७ ||
vibhedyameghā vātena samenevāpasāritāḥteṣāṃ madhye sthitaḥ śrīmānbhuśuṇḍaḥ pronnatākṛtiḥ || 27 ||
The clouds are dispersed by the gentle wind. Among them, the glorious Bhushunda stands with an elevated form.
बादल हल्की हवा से छंट जाते हैं। उनमें से, श्रीमान भुशुण्ड उच्च रूप में खड़ा है।
मध्ये च काचकण्डानामिन्द्रनील इवोन्नतःपरिपूर्णमना मानी समः सर्वाङ्गसुन्दरः || २८ ||
madhye ca kācakhaṇḍānāmindranīla ivonnataḥparipūrṇamanā mānī samaḥ sarvāṅgasundaraḥ || 28 ||
In the middle of the glass pieces, he is elevated like the Indranila gem, with a fulfilled mind, proud, balanced, and beautiful in all limbs.
काँच के टुकड़ों के बीच में, वह इंद्रनील मणि की तरह उच्च है, पूर्ण मन से, गर्वित, संतुलित, और सभी अंगों में सुंदर।
प्राणस्पन्दावधानेन नित्यमन्तर्मुखः सुखीचिरंजीवीति विख्यातश्चिरजीवितया तया || २९ ||
prāṇaspandāvadhānena nityamantarmukhaḥ sukhīciraṃjīvīti vikhyātaścirajīvitayā tayā || 29 ||
With attention to the pulsation of life, always inward-focused and happy, he is known as Ciranjivi due to his long life.
जीवन की स्पंदन पर ध्यान देकर, हमेशा अंतर्मुखी और खुश, वह अपने लंबे जीवन के कारण चिरंजीवी के रूप में जाना जाता है।
जगद्विदितदीर्घायुर्भुशुण्ड इति विश्रुतःयुगागमापायदशादशनप्रौढमानसः || ३० ||
jagadviditadīrghāyurbhuśuṇḍa iti viśrutaḥyugāgamāpāyadaśādaśanaprauḍhamānasaḥ || 30 ||
Known as Bhushunda with a long life recognized by the world, he has experienced the rise and fall of the yugas and has a mature mind.
विश्व द्वारा पहचाने गए लंबे जीवन वाले भुशुण्ड के रूप में जाना जाता है, वह युगों के उदय और अस्त का अनुभव कर चुका है और उसका मन परिपक्व है।
प्रतिकल्पं च गणयन्खिन्नश्चक्रपरम्पराम्जन्मनां लोकपालानां शर्वशक्रमरुत्वताम् || ३१ ||
pratikalpaṃ ca gaṇayankhinnaścakraparamparāmjanmanāṃ lokapālānāṃ śarvaśakramarutvatām || 31 ||
And in every epoch, counting the succession of the weary wheel of births of the world protectors, Shiva, Indra, and the Maruts.

संस्मर्ता समतीतानां सुरासुरमहीभृताम् । प्रसन्नगम्भीरमनाः पेशलः स्निग्धमुग्धवाक् || ३२ ||
saṃsmartā samatītānāṃ surāsuramahībhṛtām | prasannagambhīramanāḥ peśalaḥ snigdhamugdhavāk || 32 ||
Remembering the past deeds of the gods and demons, with a calm and profound mind, skilled in speech, affectionate and innocent.
देवताओं और असुरों के अतीत कार्यों को स्मरण करते हुए, शांत और गहरे मन से, वाणी में कुशल, स्नेही और निर्दोष।
अव्यक्तवक्ता विज्ञाता निर्ममो निरहंकृतिः । सुहृद्बन्धुस्तथा मित्रं मृत्युपुत्रो गुरुप्रभुः । सर्वदा सर्वथा सत्यं सर्वं सर्वस्य संस्तवे || ३३ ||
avyaktavaktā vijñātā nirmamo nirahaṃkṛtiḥ | suhṛdbandhus tathā mitraṃ mṛtyuputro guruprabhuḥ | sarvadā sarvathā satyaṃ sarvaṃ sarvasya saṃstave || 33 ||
Speaking the unspoken, knowing the unknown, free from selfishness and ego, a true friend and companion, the son of death, the guru and lord, always and in every way truthful, praising everything and everyone.
अव्यक्त वाणी बोलने वाला, अज्ञात को जानने वाला, स्वार्थ और अहंकार से मुक्त, सच्चा मित्र और साथी, मृत्यु का पुत्र, गुरु और प्रभु, हमेशा और हर तरह से सत्यवादी, सब कुछ और सभी की प्रशंसा करने वाला।
सौम्यः प्रसन्नमधुरो रसवान्महात्मा हृद्यः सरोवर इवान्तरखण्डशैत्यः । हृत्पुण्डरीककुहरं व्यवहारवेत्ता गाम्भीर्यमच्छमजहात्प्रकटाशयश्रीः || ३४ ||
saumyaḥ prasannamadhuro rasavānmahātmā hṛdyaḥ sarovara ivāntarakhṇḍaśaityaḥ | hṛtpunḍarīkakuharaṃ vyavahāravettā gāmbhīryamacchamajahātprakaṭāśayaśrīḥ || 34 ||
Gentle, pleasant, and sweet, full of essence, great soul, delightful like a lotus pond, cool inside, knower of conduct, who has abandoned all impurities, with manifest inner beauty.
सौम्य, प्रसन्न, और मधुर, रस से भरपूर, महात्मा, हृदय को आनंदित करने वाला जैसे कमल का तालाब, अंतर से ठंडा, व्यवहार का ज्ञाता, जिसने सभी अशुद्धियों को त्याग दिया है, जिसकी अंतर्दृष्टि सुंदर है।
