śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca | athāpaśyad asau gādhiḥ svādhipīvarayā dhiyā | antarjalastha evāntarātmanātmani nirmale || 1 ||
Sri Vasistha said: Then Gadhi saw with his pure intellect, while being in the pure inner self, the inner self within the water.
श्री वसिष्ठ ने कहा: तब गाधि ने अपने शुद्ध बुद्धि से, जब वह शुद्ध आत्मा में था, पानी के अंदर आत्मा को देखा।
भूतमण्डलपर्यन्तग्रामोपान्तनिवासिनाम् | श्वपचानां स्त्रिया गर्भे स्थितिमात्मानमाकुलम् || २ ||
bhūtamaṇḍalaparyantagrāmopāntanivāsinām | śvapacānāṃ striyā garbhe sthitimātmānamākulam || 2 ||
In the womb of a woman of the outcasts, who live at the end of the village, he saw his distressed self situated.
गाँव के अंत में रहने वाले अछूतों की स्त्री के गर्भ में, उसने अपने व्याकुल आत्मा को स्थित देखा।
गर्भवासभराक्रान्तं पीडितं पेलवाङ्गकम् | श्वपचीहृदये सुप्तं स्वविष्ठायामिवाकुलम् || ३ ||
garbhavāsabharākrāntaṃ pīḍitaṃ pelavāṅgakam | śvapacīhṛdaye suptaṃ svaviṣṭhāyāmivākulam || 3 ||
Burdened by the weight of the womb, afflicted, with a weak body, sleeping in the heart of the outcast woman, as if distressed in his own excrement.
गर्भ के भार से दबा हुआ, पीड़ित, कमजोर शरीर वाला, अछूत स्त्री के हृदय में सोया हुआ, जैसे अपने विष्ठा में व्याकुल।
शनैः पक्वतया काले प्रसूतं मेचकच्छविम् | श्वपच्या प्रावृषेवाब्दं श्याममावलितं मलैः || ४ ||
śanaiḥ pakvatayā kāle prasūtaṃ mecakacchavim | śvapacyā prāvṛṣevābdaṃ śyāmamāvalitaṃ malaiḥ || 4 ||
Gradually, in due time, he was born with the complexion of a cloud, like a rainy season, dark, covered with impurities, from the outcast woman.
धीरे-धीरे, समय पर, वह बादल के रंग के साथ, वर्षा ऋतु की तरह, काला, अशुद्धियों से ढका हुआ, अछूत स्त्री से जन्मा।
संपन्नं श्वपचागारे शिशुं श्वपचवल्लभम् | इतश्चेतश्च गच्छन्तमुत्पीडमिव यामुनम् || ५ ||
saṃpannaṃ śvapacāgāre śiśuṃ śvapacavallabham | itaścetaśca gacchantamutpīḍamiva yāmunam || 5 ||
Accomplished in the house of the outcasts, the child, dear to the outcasts, moving here and there, as if oppressed by the Yamuna.
अछूतों के घर में संपन्न, बच्चा, अछूतों का प्रिय, इधर-उधर घूमता हुआ, जैसे यमुना से पीड़ित।
द्वादशाब्ददशां यातं संस्थितं षोडशाब्दिकम् | पीवरांसमुदाराङ्गं पयोदमिव मेदुरम् || ६ ||
dvādaśābda daśāṃ yātaṃ saṃsthitaṃ ṣoḍaśābdikam| pīvarāṃsamudārāṅgaṃ payodamiva meduram || 6 ||
Having reached the stage of twelve years, standing as a sixteen-year-old, with a plump and magnificent body, resembling a rain cloud.
बारह वर्ष की अवस्था को प्राप्त हुए, सोलह वर्षीय के रूप में खड़े हुए, मोटे और शानदार शरीर वाले, बादल के समान।
सारमेयपरीवारं विहरन्तं वनाद्वनम् | निघ्नन्तं मृगलक्षाणि पौलिन्दीं स्थितिमागतम् || ७ ||
sārameyaparīvāraṃ viharantaṃ vanādvanam| nighnantaṃ mṛgalakṣāṇi paulindīṃ sthitimāgatam || 7 ||
Surrounded by a group of dogs, wandering from forest to forest, killing many deer, and having reached the state of a hunter.
कुत्तों के समूह से घिरे हुए, जंगल से जंगल भटकते हुए, बहुत से हिरनों को मारते हुए, और शिकारी की अवस्था को प्राप्त हुए।
तमाललतयेवाथ श्रितं श्वपचकान्तया | स्तनस्तबकशालिन्या नवपल्लवहस्तया || ८ ||
tamālalatayevātha śritaṃ śvapacakāntayā| stanastabakaśālinyā navapallavahastayā || 8 ||
Then, taking refuge like a Tamala creeper, with the beloved of a dog-eater, with breasts like lotus buds, with hands holding new sprouts.
फिर, तमाल की लता के समान आश्रय लेते हुए, कुत्ते खाने वाले की प्रियतमा के साथ, कमल के कली के समान स्तनों वाली, नए पल्लवों को हाथों में लिए हुए।
श्यामया मलिनाकारदशनामलमालया | वनपल्लवया भूरिविलासवलिताङ्गया || ९ ||
śyāmayā malinākāradanśanāmalamālayā| vanapallavayā bhūrivilāsavalitāṅgayā || 9 ||
With the dark-complexioned one, with a garland of spotless teeth, with forest sprouts, with a body adorned with abundant grace.
काली कांति वाली के साथ, निर्मल दांतों की माला वाली, वन के पल्लवों के साथ, अधिक माधुर्य से सजे शरीर वाली।
विलसन्तं वनान्तेषु तया सह नवेष्टया | श्यामलं श्यामया भृङ्गं भृंग्येव कुसुमर्द्धिषु || १० ||
vilasantaṃ vanānteṣu tayā saha naveṣṭayā| śyāmalaṃ śyāmayā bhṛṅgaṃ bhṛṅgyeva kusumarddhiṣu || 10 ||
Shining in the forest edges with the new beloved, the dark bee with the dark-complexioned one, like a bee among the blossoms.
वन के किनारों पर नए प्रेमी के साथ चमकते हुए, काली कांति वाले के साथ काले भौंरे के समान, फूलों में भौंरे के समान।
वनपर्णलतापत्रे वसन्तं व्यसनातुरम् | विन्ध्यकान्तारमाकारमभ्यागतमिवोद्भटम् || ११ ||
vanaparṇalatāpatre vasantaṃ vyasanāturam | vindhyakāntāramākāramabhyāgatamivodbhaṭam || 11 ||
In the forest, on the leaves of the creepers, spring appears to have arrived, afflicted with distress, as if the magnificent form of the Vindhya forest has come.
वन में, लताओं के पत्रों पर, वसंत ऋतु दुःख से पीड़ित प्रतीत होती है, जैसे विन्ध्य वन का विराट रूप आ गया हो।
विश्रान्तं वनकुञ्जेषु सुप्तं गिरिदरीषु च | निलीनं पत्रपुञ्जेषु गुल्मकेषु कृतालयम् || १२ ||
viśrāntaṃ vanakuñjeṣu suptaṃ giridarīṣu ca | nilīnaṃ patrapuñjeṣu gulmakeṣu kṛtālayam || 12 ||
Resting in the forest groves, sleeping in the mountain caves, hidden in the clusters of leaves, and making a home in the bushes.
वन के कुंजों में विश्राम करते हुए, पर्वत की गुफाओं में सोते हुए, पत्तों के झुंड में छिपे हुए, और झाड़ियों में घर बनाते हुए।
किंकिरातावतंसाढ्यं यूथिकास्त्रग्विभूषितम् | केतकोत्तंससुभगं सहकारस्रगाकुलम् || १३ ||
kiṅkirātāvataṃsāḍhyaṃ yūthikāstragvibhūṣitam | ketakottaṃsasubhagaṃ sahakārasragākulam || 13 ||
Adorned with the crest of the Kinkirāta, decorated with the garlands of the Yūthikā, beautiful with the Ketaka flowers, and filled with the garlands of the Sahakāra.
किंकिरात के मुकुट से सुशोभित, यूथिका की मालाओं से अलंकृत, केतक फूलों से सुंदर, और सहकार की मालाओं से भरा हुआ।
लुलितं पुष्पशय्यासु भ्रान्तमद्रितटीषु च | तज्ज्ञं काननकोशेषु बहुज्ञं मृगमारणे || १४ ||
lulitaṃ puṣpaśayyāsu bhrāntamadritaṭīṣu ca | tajjñaṃ kānanakośeṣu bahujñaṃ mṛgamāraṇe || 14 ||
Swaying on the beds of flowers, wandering on the mountain slopes, knowledgeable about the forest treasures, and skilled in hunting animals.
फूलों की शय्याओं पर लहराते हुए, पर्वत की ढलानों पर भटकते हुए, वन के खजानों के ज्ञाता, और पशुओं को मारने में कुशल।
प्रसूतमथ शैलेषु पुत्रान्निजकुलाङ्कुरान् | अत्यन्तविषमोदन्तान्खदिरः कण्टकानिव || १५ ||
prasūtamatha śaileṣu putrānnijakulāṅkurān | atyantaviṣamodantānkhadiraḥ kaṇṭakāniva || 15 ||
Then, on the mountains, it gives birth to its own family sprouts, extremely uneven teeth, like the thorns of the Khadira tree.
फिर, पर्वतों पर, यह अपने परिवार की अंकुरों को जन्म देता है, जो अत्यंत असमान दांतों वाले होते हैं, जैसे खदिर के कांटे।
कलत्रवन्तं संपन्नं स्थितं प्रक्षीणयौवनम् | शनैर्जर्जरतां यातं वृष्टिहीनमिव स्थलम् || १६ ||
kalatravaṃtaṃ saṃpannaṃ sthitaṃ prakṣīṇayauvanam | śanairjarjaratāṃ yātaṃ vṛṣṭihīnamiva sthalam || 16 ||
He who is endowed with a wife and prosperity, but whose youth has waned, gradually becomes decrepit, like a land without rain.
जो पत्नी और समृद्धि से युक्त है, लेकिन जिसकी युवावस्था समाप्त हो गई है, वह धीरे-धीरे जर्जर होता जाता है, जैसे वर्षा रहित भूमि।
ततो भूतग्रहग्रामजन्मदेशमुपेत्य तम् | संस्थितं मठिकां पर्णैः कृत्वा दूरे मुनीन्द्रवत् || १७ ||
tato bhūtagrahagrāmajanmadēśamupētya taṃ | saṃsthitaṃ maṭhikāṃ parṇaiḥ kṛtvā dūrē munīndravat || 17 ||
Then, reaching the place of his birth, which was inhabited by ghosts and spirits, he stayed there, making a hut with leaves, like a great sage, far away.
तब, भूत-प्रेतों से भरे जन्मस्थान तक पहुंचकर, उसने वहां पत्तों से एक झोपड़ी बनाकर, एक महान ऋषि की तरह, दूर रहने लगा।
जराजरठतां यातं स्वदेहसमपुत्रकम् | जीर्णंप्रायरसश्वभ्रतमालतरुसंनिभम् || १८ ||
jarājaratāṃ yātaṃ svadēhasamaputrakam | jīrṇaṃprāyarasaśvabhratamālatarusaṃnibham || 18 ||
He has become old and decrepit, with a body like his own son, resembling a withered, tasteless, and hollow tree.
वह बूढ़ा और जर्जर हो गया है, जिसका शरीर उसके अपने बेटे के समान है, एक सूखे, बेस्वाद और खोखले पेड़ के समान।
प्रौढं श्वपचगार्हस्थ्यं कुर्वाणं बहुबान्धवम् | क्रूरनामार्थवचनं परां वृद्धिमुपागतम् || १९ ||
prauḍhaṃ śvapacagārhasthyaṃ kurvāṇaṃ bahubāndhavam | krūranāmārthavacanaṃ parāṃ vṛddhimupāgatam || 19 ||
He has become mature, engaging in the household duties of a low caste, having many relatives, speaking harsh words, and has attained great prosperity.
वह परिपक्व हो गया है, नीच जाति के गृहस्थ के कर्तव्यों में लगा हुआ, बहुत से रिश्तेदारों के साथ, कठोर शब्दों का प्रयोग करता हुआ, और बहुत समृद्धि प्राप्त कर चुका है।
अथापश्यदसौ गाधिर्यावत्तस्य कलत्रिणः | जरठः श्वपचेभ्यश्च स्वात्मनो भ्रमहारिणः || २० ||
athāpaśyadasau gādhiryāvattasya kalatriṇaḥ | jaratāḥ śvapacebhyaśca svātmano bhramahāriṇaḥ || 20 ||
Then Gadhi saw that his wife's relatives, who were old and low caste, were causing confusion to his own self.
तब गाधि ने देखा कि उसकी पत्नी के रिश्तेदार, जो बूढ़े और नीच जाति के थे, उसके अपने आप को भ्रमित कर रहे थे।
तत्कलत्रमशेषेण नीतमावृत्य मृत्युना | आसारसलिलेनाशु वनपर्णगणो यथा || २१ ||
tatkalatramśeṣeṇa nītamāvṛtya mṛtyunā | āsārasalilenaśu vanaparṇagaṇo yathā || 21 ||
His wife was completely taken away by death, like a cluster of forest leaves quickly engulfed by a lake's water.
उसकी पत्नी मृत्यु द्वारा पूरी तरह से ले ली गई, जैसे झील का पानी जल्दी से वन के पत्तों के झुंड को घेर लेता है।
प्रलपत्येक एवासावटव्यां दुःखकर्शितः | वियूथ इव सारङ्गो विगतास्थोऽश्रुलोचनः || २२ ||
pralapatyeka evāsāvaṭavyāṃ duḥkhakarśitaḥ | viyūtha iva sāraṅgo vigatāstho'śrulocanaḥ || 22 ||
He lamented alone in the hermitage, tormented by grief, like a deer separated from its herd, with tear-filled eyes.
वह अकेला आश्रम में विलाप कर रहा था, दुःख से पीड़ित, जैसे अपने झुंड से अलग हुआ हिरण, आँसू भरी आँखों से।
दिनानि कतिचित्तत्र नीत्वा शोकपरीतधीः | जहौ स्वदेशं संशुष्कपद्मं सर इवाण्डजः || २३ ||
dināni katicittatra nītvā śokaparītadhīḥ | jahau svadeśaṃ saṃśuṣkapadmaṃ sara ivaṇḍajaḥ || 23 ||
After spending some days there, his mind overwhelmed with grief, he left his homeland, like a dried-up lotus in a lake.
कुछ दिन वहाँ बिताने के बाद, उसका मन दुःख से भरा हुआ था, वह अपने देश को छोड़कर चला गया, जैसे झील में सूखा हुआ कमल।
विजहार बहून्देशाननास्थश्चिन्तयान्वितः | प्रेर्यमाण इवान्येन वातनुन्न इवाम्बुदः || २४ ||
vijahāra bahūnddeśānanāsthaścintayānvitaḥ | preryamāṇa ivānyena vātanunna ivāmbudaḥ || 24 ||
He wandered through many lands, restless with thoughts, as if driven by another, like a cloud propelled by the wind.
वह बहुत से देशों में भटकता रहा, विचारों से बेचैन, जैसे किसी और द्वारा चलाया जा रहा हो, जैसे हवा से उड़ता हुआ बादल।
एकदा प्राप कीराणां मण्डले श्रीमतीं पुरीम् | खेचरो विहरन्शून्ये सद्विमानमिवाम्बरे || २५ ||
ekadā prāpa kīrāṇāṃ maṇḍale śrīmatīṃ purīm | khecaro viharanśūnye sadvimānamivāmbare || 25 ||
Once, he reached the splendid city of the parrots, wandering in the empty sky like a beautiful palace.
एक बार, वह सुंदर शहर तक पहुँच गया, जो तोतों का था, खाली आकाश में घूमता हुआ, जैसे एक सुंदर महल।
नृत्यद्रत्नांशुकच्छन्नमार्गवृक्षलताङ्गनम् | आगुल्फाकीर्णकुसुमं चन्दनागुरुसुन्दरम् || २६ ||
nṛtyadratnāṃśukacchannamārgavṛkṣalatāṅganam | āgulphākīrṇakusumaṃ candanāgurusundaram || 26 ||
The path was adorned with trees and creepers, covered with garlands of dance jewels, filled with flowers, and fragrant with sandalwood and aguru.
मार्ग नृत्य के रत्नों से ढके हुए वृक्षों और लताओं से सजा हुआ था, फूलों से भरा हुआ था और चंदन और अगुरु की सुगंध से भरा हुआ था।
सामन्तैर्ललनाभिश्च नागरैश्च निरन्तरम् | स्वर्गमार्गोपमं राजमार्गमध्यमवाप सः || २७ ||
sāmantairlalanābhiśca nāgaraiśca nirantaram | svargamārgopamaṃ rājamārgamadhyamavāpa saḥ || 27 ||
He reached the middle of the royal path, which was continuously filled with courtiers, beautiful women, and city dwellers, and was comparable to the path to heaven.
वह राजमार्ग के मध्य में पहुंचा, जो निरंतर राजदरबारी, सुंदर महिलाओं और नगरवासियों से भरा हुआ था, और स्वर्ग के मार्ग के समान था।
मणिरत्नकृतागारं तत्र मङ्गलहस्तिनम् | ददर्शामरशैलेन्द्रमिव संचारचञ्चलम् || २८ ||
maṇiratnakṛtāgāraṃ tatra maṅgalahastinam | dadarśāmarśailendramiva saṃcāracañcalam || 28 ||
He saw there a jewel-adorned house, an auspicious elephant, which was moving around like the king of the divine mountains.
वहाँ उसने एक रत्नजड़ित घर देखा, एक मंगलमय हाथी, जो दिव्य पर्वतों के राजा की तरह चल रहा था।
मृते राजनि राजार्थं विहरन्तमितस्ततः | रत्नज्ञमिव रत्नार्थं चिन्तामणिदिदृक्षया || २९ ||
mṛte rājani rājārthaṃ viharantamitastataḥ | ratnajñamiva ratnārthaṃ cintāmaṇididṛkṣayā || 29 ||
With the king dead, he wandered here and there for the sake of the kingdom, like a jewel-seeker searching for the wish-fulfilling gem.
राजा की मृत्यु के बाद, वह राज्य के लिए इधर-उधर घूमता रहा, जैसे रत्न खोजने वाला चिंतामणि की तलाश में होता है।
तमसौ श्वपचो नागं कौतुकोद्धुरया दृशा | चिरमालोकयामास स्पन्दयुक्ताचलोपमम् || ३० ||
tamasau śvapaco nāgaṃ kautukoddhurayā dṛśā | ciramālokayāmāsa spandayuktācalopamam || 30 ||
He gazed at the elephant, which was like a moving mountain, with a curious and excited look for a long time.

ālokayantamādāya taṃ kareṇa sa vāraṇaḥ | svakaṭe'yojayanmerustata'rkamiva sādaram || 31 ||
Taking the illuminating one with his trunk, that elephant placed him respectfully on his own shoulder, as if placing the sun on Mount Meru.
उज्ज्वल करने वाले को अपने थूथन से लेकर, वह हाथी उसे अपने कंधे पर सम्मानपूर्वक रखा, मानो सूर्य को मेरु पर्वत पर रखा हो।
तस्मिन्कटगते नेदुर्जयदुन्दुभयोऽभितः | कल्पाम्बुद इवाकाशमधिरूढे महार्णवाः || ३२ ||
tasminkaṭagate nedurjayadundubhayo'bhitaḥ | kalpāmbuda ivākāśamadhirūḍhe mahārṇavāḥ || 32 ||
When he was placed on the shoulder, the victorious drums resounded all around, as if the great oceans had risen into the sky like clouds at the end of the world.
जब वह कंधे पर रखा गया, तब विजयी ढोल चारों ओर गूंज उठे, मानो प्रलय के समय महासागर आकाश में बादलों की तरह उठ गए हों।
पूरिताशो बभौ राजा जयतीति जनस्वनः | उदभूत्संप्रबुद्धानां विहगानामिवारवः || ३३ ||
pūritāśo babhau rājā jayatīti janasvanaḥ | udabhūtsaṃprabuddhānāṃ vihagānāmivāravaḥ || 33 ||
The king appeared with his hopes fulfilled, with the sound of the people shouting 'Victory!' It was as if the sound of awakened birds had arisen.
राजा अपनी आशाओं से भरा हुआ प्रकट हुआ, लोगों की आवाज में 'विजयी' की पुकार हो रही थी। ऐसा लग रहा था मानो जागे हुए पक्षियों की आवाज उठी हो।
उदभूद्बन्दिवृन्दानां घनकोलाहलस्ततः | वेलाविलुलिताम्बूनामम्बुधीनामिव ध्वनिः || ३४ ||
udabhūdbandivṛndānāṃ ghanakolāhalastataḥ | velāvilulitāmbūnāmambudhīnāmiva dhvaniḥ || 34 ||
Then arose a dense uproar of the multitude of bards, like the sound of the oceans with their waves agitated.
तब बहुत सारे कवियों का घना शोर उठा, मानो लहरों से विचलित समुद्रों की आवाज हो।
तं तत्रावरयामासुर्मण्डनार्थं वराङ्गनाः | क्षीरोदगतविभ्रान्ता लहर्य इव मन्दरम् || ३५ ||
taṃ tatrāvarayāmāsurmaṇḍanārthaṃ varāṅganāḥ | kṣīrodagatavibhrāntā laharya iva mandaram || 35 ||
There, the beautiful women surrounded him for the purpose of adorning, like the confused waves of the ocean surrounding Mount Mandara.
वहाँ, सुंदर स्त्रियाँ उसे सजाने के लिए घेर लिया, मानो समुद्र की भ्रमित लहरें मंदराचल को घेरे हुए हों।
मानिन्यस्तं गुणप्रोतैर्नानारत्नैरपूरयन्| नानाप्रभाप्रभातार्का वेला इव तटाचलम् || ३६ ||
māninyastam guṇaprotaisnānāratnairapūrayan| nānāprabhāprabhātārkā velā iva taṭācalam || 36 ||
The respected ones filled him with various jewels and virtues| Like the shore mountain filled with the waves of the rising sun's various lights
माननीय लोगों ने उसे विभिन्न रत्नों और गुणों से भर दिया| जैसे तट पर्वत उदित सूर्य की विभिन्न प्रकाश की लहरों से भरा हुआ
विचित्रवर्णसौगन्ध्यैः पुष्पैरावलयन्स्त्रियः| वनं मधुश्रिय इव तं लोलकरपल्लवाः || ३८ ||
vicitravarṇasaugandhyaiḥ puṣpairāvalayanstriyaḥ| vanam madhuśriya iva tam lolakarapallavāḥ || 38 ||
Women adorned him with various colored fragrant flowers| Like the forest adorned with sweet-smelling flowers with swaying petals
स्त्रियों ने उसे विभिन्न रंग और सुगंध के फूलों से सजाया| जैसे वन मधुर सुगंध वाले फूलों से सजा हुआ है जिनके पंखुड़ियां लहरा रही हैं
नानावर्णरसामोदैस्तास्तमाशु विलेपनैः| अलेपयन्प्रभाजालैर्नगोऽभ्रमिव धातुभिः || ३९ ||
nānāvarṇarasāmodaistāstamāśu vilepanaiḥ| alepayanprabhājālairnago'bhraṃiva dhātubhiḥ || 39 ||
They quickly anointed him with various colored and flavored ointments| Like a mountain anointed with the rays of the sun and clouds
उन्होंने उसे तुरंत विभिन्न रंग और स्वाद के लेपों से लेप दिया| जैसे पर्वत सूर्य की किरणों और बादलों से लेप दिया गया है

ratnakāñcanakānto'sāvādade cittamātatam| sandhyābhratārendunadīvyāptaṃ merurivāmbaram || 40 ||
He, adorned with jewels and gold, took the expanded mind| Like Mount Meru enveloped by the evening clouds, stars, and the moon

प्रफुल्लित युवा लताओं से सजा हुआ, रत्नों जैसे फूलों और वस्त्रों से ढका हुआ| वह कल्पवृक्ष की तरह प्रतीत हुआ
तादृशं तमुपाजग्मुः परिवारसमन्विताः | सर्वाः प्रकृतयः फुल्लं मार्गद्रुममिवाध्वगाः || ४२ ||
tādṛśaṃ tamupājagmuḥ parivārasamanvitāḥ | sarvāḥ prakṛtayaḥ phullaṃ mārgadrumamivādhvagāḥ || 42 ||

Thus, the outcaste obtained the kingdom in the city of Kira, like a crow obtaining a well-nourished deer in the forest.
इस प्रकार, वह चाण्डाल कीर नगर में राज्य प्राप्त कर लिया, जैसे कौआ वन में एक स्वस्थ हरिण प्राप्त कर लेता है।
कीरीकरतलाम्भोजप्रमृष्टचरणाम्बुजः | सर्वाङ्गे कुङ्कुमालेपैः संध्याम्बुधरशोभनः || ४५ ||
kīrīkaratalāmbhojapramṛṣṭacaraṇāmbujaḥ | sarvāṅge kuṅkumālepaiḥ saṃdhyāmbudharashobhanaḥ || 45 ||

jajvāla kīranagare nāgarīgaṇavānasau | siṃhīgaṇayutaḥ siṃho yathā kusumite vane || 46 ||

वह कीर नगर में नागरिकों से घिरा हुआ चमक रहा था, जैसे खिले हुए वन में शेर शेरनियों से घिरा होता है।
हरिहतकरिकुम्भोन्मुक्तमुक्ताकलापप्रविरचितशरीरः शान्तचिन्ताविषादः| अरमत सह सद्भिस्तत्र भोगैः सरस्यां रविकरमदतप्तो वारिपूरैरिवेभः || ४७ ||
harīhatakarikumbhōnmūktamuktākalāpapraviracitaśarīraḥ śāntacintāviṣādaḥ| aramata saha sadbhistatra bhogaiḥ sarasyāṃ ravikaramadataptō vāripūrairivēbhaḥ || 47 ||
With a body adorned with pearl necklaces released from the temples of elephants defeated by Hari, free from mental anguish, he enjoyed with the virtuous in that lake, as if the sun-scorched clouds were filled with water.
हरि द्वारा पराजित हाथियों के मस्तक से छूटे मोती के हारों से अलंकृत शरीर वाले, मानसिक चिंता और विषाद से मुक्त, वह उस सरोवर में साधुओं के साथ भोग करते हुए आनंदित हुए, मानो सूर्य की गर्मी से तपे बादल जल से भरे हों।
परिविसृतनृपौजाः सर्वदिक्संस्थिताज्ञः कतिपयदिवसेहासिद्धदेशव्यवस्थः| प्रकृतिभिरलमूढाशेषराजन्यभारः स गवल इति नाम्ना तत्र राजा बभूव || ४८ ||
parivisṛtanṛpaujāḥ sarvadiksaṃsthitājñaḥ katipayadivasehāsiddhadeśavyavasthaḥ| prakṛtibhiralamūḍhāśeṣarājanyabhāraḥ sa gavala iti nāmnā tatra rājā babhūva || 48 ||
With the kings' homage spread all around, knowing everything in all directions, in a few days he established the state's order. With his natural abilities, he easily bore the entire burden of the kingdom. He became known as King Gavala there.
राजाओं का सम्मान सब ओर फैला हुआ, सब दिशाओं में स्थित ज्ञानी, कुछ दिनों में ही उसने राज्य की व्यवस्था की। अपनी प्रकृति से, वह आसानी से सम्पूर्ण राज्य का भार उठाता है। वह वहाँ गवल नाम से राजा बना।
