na śokena na mohena na ca vairāgyacintayā | na dehatyāgakāryeṇa na saṃsārabhayena ca || 7 ||

English

Not by sorrow, not by delusion, not by the thought of detachment, not by the act of giving up the body, nor by the fear of worldly existence.

ekasminvidyamāne hi kutaḥ śokaḥ kutaḥ kṣatiḥ | kuto dehaḥ kva saṃsāraḥ kva sthitiḥ kva bhayābhaye || 8 ||

English

When there is only one, where is sorrow, where is harm? Where is the body, where is the world, where is existence, where is fear?

English

When there is no body, there is no suffering; when there is a body, there is suffering—this is my belief. Thus, the serpent of worry devours only the fool.

English

The entire world appears as a reflection of knowledge, arising from both existence and non-existence. What should be abandoned and what should be accepted here, which is not to be abandoned or not?
