śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca athākhilajagajjālakramapālanadevanaḥ | kṣīrodanagare śeṣaśayyāsanagato hariḥ || 1 ||
Shri Vasishtha said: Then the Lord, who maintains the entire web of the universe, rested on the serpent bed in the city of Kshiroda.
श्री वसिष्ठ ने कहा: फिर सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्माण्ड के जाल को संचालित करने वाले भगवान ने क्षीरोद नगर में शेष शय्या पर विश्राम किया।
प्रावृण्निद्राव्युपरमे देवार्थमरिसूदनः | धिया विलोकयामास कदाचिज्जागतीं गतिम् || २ ||
prāvṛṇnidrāvyuprame devārthamariśūdanaḥ | dhiyā vilokayāmāsa kadācijjāgatīṃ gatim || 2 ||
At the end of the rainy season, the destroyer of enemies, for the sake of the gods, with his mind, occasionally observed the movement of the world.
वर्षा ऋतु के अंत में, शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले भगवान ने, देवताओं के लिए, अपने मन से, कभी-कभी संसार की गति को देखा।
त्रिविष्टपं स्वमनसा पार्थिवं चावलोक्य सः | आचारमाजगामाशु पातालमरिपालितम् || ३ ||
triviṣṭapaṃ svamanasā pārthivaṃ cāvalokya saḥ | ācāramājagāmāśu pātālamaripālitam || 3 ||
Having observed the heavenly realm and the earth with his mind, he quickly proceeded to the underworld, which is protected by the enemies.
अपने मन से स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी को देखकर, वह शीघ्र ही शत्रुओं द्वारा सुरक्षित पाताल लोक की ओर बढ़े।
तत्र स्थिरसमाधाने स्थिते प्रह्लाददानवे | दृष्ट्वा संपदमिन्द्रस्य पुरे प्रौढिमुपागताम् || ४ ||
tatra sthirasamādhāne sthite prahlādadānave | dṛṣṭvā saṃpadamindrasya pure prauḍhimupāgatām || 4 ||
There, seeing the steadfast devotion of the demon Prahlada and the prosperity of Indra's city having reached its peak.
वहाँ, दैत्य प्रह्लाद की स्थिर समाधि और इन्द्र के नगर की समृद्धि को देखकर, जो अपने चरम पर पहुँच गई थी।
व्यालतल्पतलस्थस्य क्षीरोदार्णवशायिनः | शङ्खचक्रगदापाणेर्देहस्यान्तरचारिणः || ५ ||
vyālatalpatalasthasya kṣīrodārṇavaśāyinaḥ | śaṅkhacakragadāpāṇerdehasyāntaracāriṇaḥ || 5 ||
Of the one who lies on the serpent bed in the ocean of milk, holding a conch, discus, and mace in his hands, and whose form is the inner dweller.
जो दूध के समुद्र में शेष शय्या पर लेटा है, हाथों में शंख, चक्र और गदा धारण करता है, और जिसका रूप अन्तर्यामी है।
पद्मासनस्थस्य मनः शरीरेणातिभास्वता । इदं संचिन्तयामास त्रैलोक्यालमहालिना || ६ ||
padmāsanasthasya manaḥ śarīreṇātibhāsvatā | idaṃ saṃcintayāmāsa trailokyālamahālinā || 6 ||
While seated in the Padmasana posture, his mind illuminated by his body, he contemplated this: 'The entire universe is filled with greatness.'
पद्मासन में बैठे हुए उसके मन को शरीर से अति उज्ज्वल प्रकाश मिला | उसने यह सोचा कि तीनों लोक महान हैं |
प्रह्लादे पदविश्रान्ते पाताले गतनायके । कष्टं सृष्टिरियं प्रायो निर्दैत्यत्वमुपागता || ७ ||
prahlāde padaviśrānte pātāle gatanāyake | kaṣṭaṃ sṛṣṭiriyam prāyo nirdaitvatvamupāgatā || 7 ||
With Prahlada having attained the highest position and the leader having gone to the netherworld, this creation is mostly in distress, having reached a state without demons.
प्रह्लाद के उत्तम पद प्राप्त करने और नेता के पाताल चले जाने से, यह सृष्टि अधिकतर कष्ट में है, जिसने दैत्यों के बिना अवस्था प्राप्त कर ली है।
दैत्याभावे सुरश्रेणी निर्जिगीषुपदं गता । शममेष्यत्यदृष्टाब्दपटलेषु सरिद्यथा || ८ ||
daityābhāve suraśreṇī nirjigīṣupadaṃ gatā | śamameṣyatyadṛṣṭābdapataḷeṣu saridyathā || 8 ||
In the absence of demons, the lineage of gods has reached a state of non-desire. It will attain peace like a river in unseen years.
दैत्यों के अभाव में, देवों की श्रेणी ने अभिलाषा रहित अवस्था प्राप्त कर ली है। यह अदृष्ट वर्षों में नदी की तरह शांति प्राप्त करेगा।
मोक्षाख्यं निर्गतद्वन्द्वं ततो यास्यति तत्पदम् । क्षीणाभिमानविरसा लतेव प्रविशुष्कताम् || ९ ||
mokṣākhyam nirgatadvandvaṃ tato yāsyati tatpadam | kṣīṇābhimānavirasā latāv praviśuṣkatām || 9 ||
That which is known as liberation, free from duality, will then attain that state. Like a creeper devoid of pride and juice, it will enter a state of dryness.
जिसे मोक्ष कहा जाता है, द्वंद्व से मुक्त, उसके बाद वह उस अवस्था को प्राप्त करेगा। अभिमान और रस से रहित लता की तरह, यह सूखेपन की अवस्था में प्रवेश करेगा।
देवौघे शान्तिमायाते भुवि यज्ञतपःक्रियाः । अदेवत्वफलाः सर्वाः शममेष्यन्त्यसंशयम् || १० ||
devaughē śāntimāyātē bhuvi yajñatapaḥkriyāḥ | adēvatvaphalāḥ sarvāḥ śamamēṣyantyasaṃśayam || 10 ||
When the assembly of gods attains peace, all sacrificial and penance rituals on earth will undoubtedly lead to peace, devoid of divine results.
जब देवों की सभा शांति प्राप्त करेगी, तब पृथ्वी पर सभी यज्ञ और तपस्या क्रियाएँ निश्चित रूप से शांति की ओर ले जाएँगी, दैवी फलों से रहित।
क्रियास्वथोपशान्तासु भूर्लोकोऽस्तमुपैष्यति | असंसारप्रसङ्गोऽथ तस्य नाशे भविष्यति || ११ ||
kriyāsvathopaśāntāsu bhūrloko'stamupaiṣyati | asaṃsāraprasaṅgo'tha tasya nāśe bhaviṣyati || 11 ||
When the actions are pacified, the earth will reach its end | Then, with the destruction of the cycle of rebirth, it will cease to exist
जब क्रियाएँ शान्त हो जाएँगी, तब पृथ्वी अपने अंत को पहुँचेगी | फिर, जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र के विनाश के साथ, यह अस्तित्व से समाप्त हो जाएगा
आकल्पान्तं त्रिभुवनं यदिदं कल्पितं मया | नाशमेष्यत्यकालेन तापे हिमकणो यथा || १२ ||
ākalpāntaṃ tribhuvanaṃ yadidaṃ kalpitaṃ mayā | nāśameṣyatyakālena tāpe himakaṇo yathā || 12 ||
This entire universe that I have created will perish quickly like a snowflake in heat
यह सारा ब्रह्मांड जिसे मैंने रचा है, तेज़ी से नष्ट हो जाएगा, जैसे गर्मी में बर्फ का कण
किमेवमस्मिन्नाभोगे विलीय क्षयमागते | कृतं मयेह भवति स्वलीलाक्षयकारिणा || १३ ||
kimevamasminnābhoge vilīya kṣayamāgate | kṛtaṃ mayeha bhavati svalīlākṣayakāriṇā || 13 ||
What is the use of this sky when it merges and perishes? What have I done here, the one who causes the end of my own play?
इस आकाश का क्या लाभ है जब यह विलीन होकर नष्ट हो जाता है? मैंने यहाँ क्या किया है, जो अपने खेल का अंत करने वाला हूँ?
ततोऽहमपि शून्येऽस्मिन्नष्टचन्द्रार्कतारके | वपुःप्रशान्तिमाधाय स्थितिमेष्यामि तत्पदे || १४ ||
tato'hamapi śūnye'sminnaṣṭacandrārkatārake | vapuḥpraśāntimādhāya sthitimeṣyāmi tatpade || 14 ||
Therefore, I too will attain peace in this void, devoid of the moon, sun, and stars, and will remain in that state
इसलिए, मैं भी इस शून्य में, जहाँ चंद्रमा, सूर्य और तारे नहीं हैं, शांति प्राप्त करूँगा और उस अवस्था में रहूँगा
अकाण्ड एवमेवं हि जगत्युपशमं गते | नेह श्रेयो न पश्यामि मन्ये जीवन्तु दानवाः || १५ ||
akāṇḍa evamevaṃ hi jagatyupaśamaṃ gate | neha śreyo na paśyāmi manye jīvantu dānavāḥ || 15 ||
O Akanda, thus indeed the world has reached its end | I do not see any good here, I think let the demons live
हे अकाण्ड, ऐसा ही संसार अपने अंत को पहुँच गया है | मैं यहाँ कोई भलाई नहीं देखता, मैं सोचता हूँ कि राक्षस जीवित रहें
दैत्योद्योगेन विबुधास्ततो यज्ञतपःक्रियाः| तेन संसारसंस्थानं न संसारक्रमोऽन्यथा || १६ ||
daityodyogenena vibudhāstato yajñatapaḥkriyāḥ| tena saṃsārasaṃsthānaṃ na saṃsārakramo'nyathā || 16 ||
By the efforts of the demons, the gods performed sacrifices and austerities. Therefore, the establishment of the world is not possible in any other way.
दैत्यों के प्रयासों से, देवताओं ने यज्ञ और तपस्या की| इसलिए, संसार की स्थापना किसी अन्य तरीके से संभव नहीं है।
तस्माद्रसातलं गत्वा यथावत्स्थापयाम्यहम्| स्वे क्रमे दानवाधीशमृतुः पुनरिव द्रुमम् || १७ ||
tasmādrasātalaṃ gatvā yathāvatsthāpayāmyaham| sve kramē dānavādhīśamṛtuḥ punariva drumam || 17 ||
Therefore, I will go to Rasatala and establish it properly. The lord of the demons will return like a tree in its season.
इसलिए, मैं रसातल जाऊँगा और उसे ठीक से स्थापित करूँगा। दानवों का स्वामी ऋतु के समय वापस आएगा, जैसे एक पेड़।
विना प्रह्लादमथ चेदितरं दानवेश्वरम्| करोमि तदसौ मन्ये देवानासादयिष्यति || १८ ||
vinā prahlādamatha ceditarāṃ dānavēśvaram| karomi tadasau manye dēvānāsādayiṣyati || 18 ||
Without Prahlada or any other lord of the demons, I think he will approach the gods.
प्रह्लाद या किसी अन्य दानव स्वामी के बिना, मैं सोचता हूँ कि वह देवताओं के पास जाएगा।
प्रह्लादस्य त्वयं देहः पश्चिमः पावनो महान्| आकल्पमिह वस्तव्यं देहेनानेन तेन च || १९ ||
prahlādasya tvayaṃ dēhaḥ paścimaḥ pāvano mahān| ākalpamiha vastavyaṃ dēhēnānēna tēna ca || 19 ||
This body of Prahlada is the great, purifying, final form. One must dwell here with this body for an aeon.
प्रह्लाद का यह शरीर महान, पवित्र, अंतिम रूप है। एक कल्प तक इस शरीर के साथ यहाँ रहना चाहिए।
एवं हि नियतिर्देवी निश्चिता पारमेश्वरी| प्रह्लादेन यथाकल्पं स्थातव्यमिह देहिना || २० ||
evaṃ hi niyatirdēvī niścitā pāramēśvarī| prahlādēna yathākalpaṃ sthātavyamihadēhinā || 20 ||
Thus, indeed, the divine destiny is determined by the supreme goddess. One must dwell here with Prahlada according to the aeon.
इस प्रकार, वास्तव में, दिव्य नियति परमेश्वरी द्वारा निश्चित है। प्रह्लाद के साथ एक कल्प के अनुसार यहाँ रहना चाहिए।
तस्मात्तमेव गत्वा तु दैत्येन्द्रं बोधयाम्यहम् | गर्जन्गिरिनदीसुप्तं मयूरमिव वारिदः || २१ ||
tasmāttameva gatvā tu daityendraṃ bodhayāmyaham | garjangirinadīsuptaṃ mayūramiva vāridaḥ || 21 ||
Therefore, I will go and awaken the lord of the demons, who is sleeping like a peacock in the rainy season on the mountain Garjangiri.
इसलिए, मैं गर्जनगिरि पर बरसात के मौसम में सोए हुए मोर की तरह सोए हुए दैत्यों के राजा को जगाने जाऊँगा।
जीवनमुक्तसमाधिस्थः करोत्वसुरनाथताम् | मणिर्मुक्तमनस्कारः प्रतिबिम्बक्रियामिव || २२ ||
jīvanamuktasamādhisthaḥ karotvasuranāthatām | maṇirmuktamanaskāraḥ pratibimbakriyāmiva || 22 ||
Being in the state of jīvanmukta samādhi, let him perform the role of the lord of the demons, like a gem without blemishes performing the function of a reflection.
जीवनमुक्त समाधि की अवस्था में होकर, वह दैत्यों के राजा की भूमिका निभाए, जैसे कोई निष्कलंक मणि प्रतिबिम्ब की क्रिया करती है।
नहि नश्यति सर्गोऽयमेवं सह सुरासुरैः | भविष्यति च तद्द्वन्द्वं तन्मे क्रीडा भविष्यति || २३ ||
nahi naśyati sargo'yamevaṃ saha surāsuraiḥ | bhaviṣyati ca taddvandvaṃ tanme krīḍā bhaviṣyati || 23 ||
This creation will not perish in this way along with the gods and demons. That duality will continue to exist, and it will be my play.
यह सृष्टि देवताओं और दैत्यों के साथ इस तरह नहीं नष्ट होगी। वह द्वैत बना रहेगा, और यह मेरा खेल होगा।
सर्गक्षयोदयावेतौ सुसमौ मम यद्यपि | तथापीदं यथासंस्थं भवत्वन्येन किं मम || २४ ||
sargakṣayodayāvetau susamau mama yadyapi | tathāpīdaṃ yathāsaṃsthaṃ bhavatvanyena kiṃ mama || 24 ||
Even though the creation and destruction are equal to me, let it be as it is. What is it to me?
यद्यपि सृष्टि और विनाश मेरे लिए समान हैं, फिर भी जैसा है वैसा ही रहे। मुझे क्या?
भावाभावेषु यत्तुल्यं तन्नाशे तत्स्थितौ च वा | यः प्रयत्नस्त्वबुद्धित्वात्तद्योगगमनं भवेत् || २५ ||
bhāvābhāveṣu yattulyaṃ tannaśe tatsthitau ca vā | yaḥ prayatnastvabuddhitvāttadyogagamanaṃ bhavet || 25 ||
That which is equal in existence and non-existence, in destruction and in stability, that effort due to ignorance becomes the path to yoga.
जो अस्तित्व और अनस्तित्व में, विनाश और स्थिरता में समान है, वह अज्ञान के कारण प्रयास योग का मार्ग बन जाता है।
तस्मात्प्रयामि पातालं बोधयाम्यसुरेश्वरम् | स्थैर्यं यामि न संसारलीलां संपादयाम्यहम् || २६ ||
tasmātprayāmi pātālaṃ bodhayāmyasureśvaram | sthairyaṃ yāmi na saṃsāralīlāṃ saṃpādayāmyaham || 26 ||
Therefore, I will go to the underworld and awaken the lord of the demons | I will bring stability and not indulge in the play of the world
इसलिए, मैं पाताल जाऊँगा और असुरों के राजा को जगाऊँगा | मैं स्थिरता लाऊँगा और संसार की लीला में नहीं लिप्त होऊँगा
असुरपुरमवाप्य प्रोद्धताचारघोरं कमलमिव विवस्वान्दैत्यमुद्बोधयामः | जगदिदमखिलं स्वस्थैर्यमभ्यानयामो घनविधिरिव शैले चञ्चलं मेघजालम् || २७ ||
asurapuramavāpya proddhatācāraghoraṃ kamalamiva vivasvāndaitayamudbodhayāmaḥ | jagadidamakhilaṃ svasthairayamabhyānayāmo ghanavidhiriva śaile cañcalaṃ meghajālam || 27 ||
Reaching the city of the demons, which is filled with fierce practices, we will awaken the demon like the sun awakens a lotus | We will bring stability to the entire world, like a dense cloud brings stability to a restless mountain
असुरों के नगर में पहुँचकर, जो भयानक आचारों से भरा है, हम सूर्य की तरह कमल को जगाएँगे | हम पूरे संसार को स्थिरता देंगे, जैसे घने बादल बेचैन पहाड़ को स्थिर करते हैं
