śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca | atha te dānavāstatra baleranucarāstadā | tadgehaṃ sphāṭikaṃ saudhamuccairāruhuruḥ kṣaṇāt || 1 ||
Sri Vasistha said: Then, those demons, the followers of Bali, quickly climbed that tall crystal palace.
श्री वसिष्ठ ने कहा: तब, वे दानव, बलि के अनुचर, उस ऊँचे स्फटिक महल पर तुरंत चढ़ गए।
डिम्भाद्या मन्त्रिणो धीराः सामन्ताः कुमुदादयः | सुराद्याश्चैव राजानो वृत्ताद्या बलहारिणः || २ ||
ḍimbhaādyā mantrino dhīrāḥ sāmantāḥ kumudādayaḥ | surādyāścaiva rājāno vṛttādyā balahāriṇaḥ || 2 ||
The wise ministers like Dimbha, the noblemen like Kumuda, the kings like Sura, and others who destroy the strength of enemies.
डिम्भ जैसे बुद्धिमान मंत्री, कुमुद जैसे सामंत, सुर जैसे राजा, और शत्रुओं की शक्ति को नष्ट करने वाले अन्य लोग।
हयग्रीवादयः सैन्याश्चाक्राजाद्याश्च बान्धवाः | लडुकाद्याश्च सुहृदो वलूकाद्याश्च लालकाः || ३ ||
hayagrīvādayaḥ sainyāścākrājādyāśca bāndhavāḥ | laḍukādyāśca suhṛdo valūkādyāśca lālakāḥ || 3 ||
The armies like Hayagriva, the kings like Akraja, the relatives, the friends like Laduka, and the protectors like Valuka.
हयग्रीव जैसी सेनाएँ, अक्रज जैसे राजा, बंधु, लडुक जैसे मित्र, और वलुक जैसे रक्षक।
कुबेरयमशक्राद्या उपायनकराः सुराः | यक्षविद्याधरा नागाः सेवावसरकाङ्क्षिणः || ४ ||
kuberayamaśakrādyā upāyanakarāḥ surāḥ | yakṣavidyādharā nāgāḥ sevāvasarakāṅkṣiṇaḥ || 4 ||
The gods like Kubera, Yama, and Indra who bring offerings, and the Yakshas, Vidyadharas, and Nagas who are eager to serve.
कुबेर, यम, और इंद्र जैसे देवता जो भेंट लाते हैं, और यक्ष, विद्याधर, और नाग जो सेवा करने के लिए उत्सुक हैं।
रम्भातिलोत्तमाद्याश्च चामरिण्यो वराङ्गनाः | सागराः सरितः शैला दिशश्च विदिशस्तथा || ५ ||
rambhātilottamādyāśca cāmariṇyo varāṅganāḥ | sāgarāḥ saritaḥ śailā diśaśca vidisaḥ tathā || 5 ||
The beautiful women like Rambha and Tilottama with chowries, the oceans, rivers, mountains, directions, and sub-directions.
रम्भा और तिलोत्तमा जैसी सुंदर स्त्रियाँ चौरियाँ लिए, सागर, नदियाँ, पर्वत, दिशाएँ, और उपदिशाएँ।
सेवार्थमाययुस्तस्य तं प्रदेशं तदा बलेः | अन्ये च बहवः सिद्धास्त्रेलोक्योदरवासिनः || ६ ||
sevārthamāyayustasya taṃ pradeśaṃ tadā baleḥ | anye ca bahavaḥ siddhāstrelo kyodaravāsinaḥ || 6 ||
For the purpose of service, they came to that place of Bali at that time. Many other accomplished beings, residing in the three worlds, also came.
सेवा के लिए, उन्होंने उस समय बलि के उस स्थान पर आए। तीनों लोकों में रहने वाले अन्य बहुत से सिद्ध पुरुष भी आए।
ध्यानमौनसमाधिस्थं चित्रार्पितमिवाचलम् | नमत्किरीटावलयो ददृशुर्बलिमादृताः || ७ ||
dhyānamounasamādhisthaṃ citrārpitamivācalaṃ | namatkirīṭāvalayo dadṛśurbalimādṛtāḥ || 7 ||
They saw Bali, who was steadfast in meditation, silence, and concentration, as if he were a motionless mountain. They bowed down to him with their crowns and necklaces.
उन्होंने बलि को देखा, जो ध्यान, मौन और समाधि में स्थिर थे, मानो वे एक अचल पर्वत हों। उन्होंने अपने मुकुट और हारों के साथ उन्हें प्रणाम किया।
तं दृष्ट्वा कृतकर्तव्यप्रणामास्ते महासुराः | विषादविस्मयानन्दभयमन्थरतां ययुः || ८ ||
taṃ dṛṣṭvā kṛtakartavyapraṇāmāste mahāsurāḥ | viṣādavismayānandabhayamantharatāṃ yayuḥ || 8 ||
Seeing him, those great demons, having paid their respects, felt a mixture of sorrow, wonder, joy, and fear.
उन्हें देखकर, उन महान असुरों ने अपना सम्मान दिया, और उन्होंने दुःख, आश्चर्य, आनंद और भय का मिश्रण महसूस किया।
मन्त्रिणः प्रविचार्यात्र किं प्राप्तमिति दानवाः | भार्गवं चिन्तयामासुर्गुरुं सर्वविदांवरम् || ९ ||
mantrīṇaḥ pravicāryātra kiṃ prāptamiti dānavāḥ | bhārgavaṃ cintayāmāsurguruṃ sarvavidāṃvaram || 9 ||
The ministers, having deliberated here, thought, 'What has been achieved?' The demons then contemplated Bhargava, the foremost among all knowledgeable beings.
मंत्रीगण यहाँ विचार करने के बाद, सोचे, 'क्या प्राप्त हुआ?' फिर असुरों ने भार्गव, सभी ज्ञानी पुरुषों में श्रेष्ठ, का ध्यान किया।
चिन्तनानन्तरं दैत्या भार्गवं भास्वरं वपुः | ददृशुः कल्पितं प्राप्तं गन्धर्वनगरं यथा || १० ||
cintanānantaraṃ daityā bhārgavaṃ bhāsvaraṃ vapuḥ | dadṛśuḥ kalpitaṃ prāptaṃ gandharvanagaraṃ yathā || 10 ||
After contemplation, the demons saw Bhargava's radiant form, as if it were a well-prepared Gandharva city.
विचार के बाद, असुरों ने भार्गव के चमकदार रूप को देखा, मानो वह एक सुसज्जित गंधर्व नगर हो।
पूज्यमानोऽसुरगणैर्निविष्टो गुरुविष्टरे | ददर्श ध्यानमौनस्थं भार्गवो दानवेश्वरम् || ११ ||
pūjyamāno'suragaṇairniviṣṭo guriviṣṭare | dadarśa dhyānamounasthaṃ bhārgavo dānaveśvaram || 11 ||
Worshipped by the asuras, seated on the teacher's seat, Bhargava saw the lord of the demons absorbed in meditation and silence.
असुरों द्वारा पूजित, गुरु के आसन पर बैठे हुए, भार्गव ने ध्यान और मौन में लीन दानवों के स्वामी को देखा।
विश्रम्य स क्षणमिव प्रेमवानवलोक्य च | बलिं विचारयन्दृष्ट्वा परिक्षीणभवभ्रमम् || १२ ||
viśramya sa kṣaṇamiva premavānavalokya ca | baliṃ vicārayandṛṣṭvā parikṣīṇabhavabhramam || 12 ||
After resting for a moment, with affection, he looked at Bali and saw that his delusion about worldly existence had diminished.
क्षण भर विश्राम करने के बाद, स्नेह से, उसने बलि को देखा और देखा कि उसका संसारिक अस्तित्व का भ्रम कम हो गया है।
देहरश्मिशतैर्दत्तदीप्तिभिः क्षीरसागरम् | क्षिपन्निव सभामाह हसन्वाक्यमिदं गुरुः || १३ ||
deharashmiśatairdattadīptibhiḥ kṣīrasāgaram | kṣipanniva sabhāmāha hasanvākyamidaṃ guruḥ || 13 ||
With the radiance given by the hundreds of rays of his body, as if illuminating the ocean of milk, the teacher smiled and spoke these words in the assembly.
अपने शरीर की सैकड़ों किरणों से प्रदत्त प्रकाश से, जैसे दूध के समुद्र को प्रकाशित करते हुए, गुरु ने सभा में मुस्कुराते हुए ये शब्द कहे।
अतिमात्रमिदं दैत्याः स्वविचारणयैव यत् | संप्राप्तविमलावासः सिद्धोऽयं भगवान्बलिः || १४ ||
atimātramidaṃ daityāḥ svavicāraṇayaiva yat | saṃprāptavimalāvāsaḥ siddho'yaṃ bhagavānbaliḥ || 14 ||
O demons, it is indeed extraordinary that by his own contemplation, this Bali has attained a pure abode and has become perfect.
हे दैत्य, यह वास्तव में अति अद्भुत है कि अपने विचार से ही यह बलि शुद्ध आवास प्राप्त कर चुका है और सिद्ध हो गया है।
अयं तदेवमेवेह तिष्ठन्दानवसत्तमाः | स्वात्मनि स्थितिमाप्नोतु पदं पश्यत्वनामयम् || १५ ||
ayaṃ tadevameveha tiṣṭhandānavasattamāḥ | svātmani sthitimāpnotu padaṃ paśyatvanāmayam || 15 ||
May this Bali, the best among demons, remain here in this way and attain stability in his own self, and may he see the flawless state.
यह बलि, दानवों में श्रेष्ठ, इस प्रकार यहाँ रहे और अपने आत्म में स्थिति प्राप्त करे, और दोषरहित अवस्था को देखे।
श्रान्तो विश्राममायातः क्षीणचित्तभवभ्रमः | शान्तसंसारनीहारो वाचनीयो न दानवाः || १६ ||
śrānto viśrāmamāyātaḥ kṣīṇacittabhavabhramaḥ | śāntasaṃsāranīhāro vācanīyo na dānavāḥ || 16 ||
Exhausted, he has come to rest, his mind's delusions have faded | The tranquil one, who has renounced the world, should not be disturbed, O demons
थका हुआ, वह विश्राम करने आया है, उसके मन के भ्रम समाप्त हो गए हैं | शान्त संसार त्यागी, उसे विचलित नहीं करना चाहिए, हे दानव
स्व एवालोक एतेन संप्राप्तोऽज्ञानसंकटे | शान्तेऽत्र संभ्रमे सौरो दिनेनेव करोत्करः || १७ ||
sva evāloka etena saṃprāpto'jñānasaṃkaṭe | śānte'tra saṃbhraṃe saurō dineneva karōtkaraḥ || 17 ||
By this very sight, he has attained the crisis of ignorance | In this tranquil confusion, the sun, as if by day, creates radiance
इसी दृष्टि से, वह अज्ञान के संकट में पहुंच गया है | इस शान्त भ्रम में, सूर्य, मानो दिन के समान, प्रकाश पैदा करता है
स्वयमेव हि कालेन प्रबोधमयमेष्यति | बीजकोशात्स्वसंवित्त्या सुप्तमूर्तिरिवांकुरः || १८ ||
svayameva hi kālena prabodhamayameṣyati | bījakośātsvasaṃvittyā suptamūrtirivāṅkuraḥ || 18 ||
Indeed, by itself, with time, it will become full of awakening | Like a sprout from a seed, with its own consciousness, from the seed-case
वास्तव में, स्वयं ही, समय के साथ, यह जागरूकता से भर जाएगा | बीज से अंकुर की तरह, अपनी चेतना के साथ, बीजकोश से
कुरुध्वं स्वामिकार्याणि सर्वे दानवनायकाः | बलिर्वर्षसहस्रेण समाधेर्बोधमेष्यति || १९ ||
kurudhvaṃ svāmikāryāṇi sarve dānavanāyakāḥ | balirvarṣasahasreṇa samādherbodhameṣyati || 19 ||
All demon leaders, perform your duties | Bali, after a thousand years, will attain enlightenment from meditation
सभी दानव नायकों, अपने कर्तव्य करो | बलि, एक हजार वर्षों के बाद, ध्यान से जागरूकता प्राप्त करेगा
इत्युक्ता गुरुणा तत्र हर्षामर्षविषादजाम् | दैत्याश्चिन्तां जहुः शुष्कां मञ्जरीमिव पादपाः || २० ||
ityuktā guruṇā tatra harṣāmarṣaviṣādajām | daityāścintāṃ jahuḥ śuṣkāṃ mañjarīmiva pādapāḥ || 20 ||
Thus instructed by the guru, the demons there abandoned their dry worries born of joy, anger, and sorrow | Like trees shedding their withered blossoms
गुरु द्वारा ऐसे निर्देश दिए जाने पर, वहाँ दानव हर्ष, अमर्ष और विषाद से उत्पन्न अपनी सूखी चिंताओं को छोड़ दिया | मानो पेड़ अपने सूखे फूलों को झाड़ रहे हों
वैरोचनिसभासंस्थां विधाय प्राग्व्यवस्थया | स्वव्यापारपरास्तस्थुः सर्वं एवासुरास्ततः || २१ ||
vairocanisabhāsaṃsthāṃ vidhāya prāgvyavasthayā | svavyāpāraparāstasthuḥ sarvaṃ evāsurāstataḥ || 21 ||
Having arranged the assembly of Vairochana according to the previous arrangement, all the demons then engaged in their respective duties.
वैरोचनि की सभा को पहले की व्यवस्था के अनुसार स्थापित करके, सभी असुर अपने-अपने कार्यों में लग गए।
नरा मही महिपतयो रसातलं ग्रहा नभस्त्रिदशगणास्त्रिविष्टपम् | दिशोऽद्रयो दिक्पतयश्च कंदरान्वनेचरा गगनचराश्च खं ययुः || २२ ||
narā mahī mahipatayo rasātalaṃ grahā nabhastridaśagaṇāstriviṣṭapam | diśo'drayo dikpatayaśca kaṃdarānvanecharā gaganacarāśca khaṃ yayuḥ || 22 ||
The kings of the earth went to the underworld, the planets to the sky, the gods to heaven, the directions to their respective mountains, the guardians of the directions to their caves, the forest dwellers to the forests, and the sky dwellers to the sky.
पृथ्वी के राजा पाताल में गए, ग्रह आकाश में, देवता स्वर्ग में, दिशाएँ अपने-अपने पर्वतों में, दिक्पाल अपनी-अपनी कंदराओं में, वनवासी वनों में, और आकाशवासी आकाश में गए।
