śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca | tamathāsau tathā buddhiphalapallavaśālinam | ānandamantharamanāḥ ṣuṣparūpācalopamam || 1 ||
Sri Vasistha said: He, thus, with the mind filled with the fruits of wisdom, entered the inner joy, resembling a mountain in the form of sleep.
श्री वसिष्ठ ने कहा: वह, इस प्रकार, बुद्धि के फलों से भरे मन से, आनंद के अंतर्मन में प्रवेश किया, जो नींद के रूप में पर्वत के समान था।
कदम्बं रोदसीस्तम्भमारुरोह वनस्थितम् | एकार्णवगतं शौरिर्वटवृक्षमिवोन्नतम् || २ ||
kadambaṃ rodasīstambhamārurōha vanasthitam | ekārṇavagaṃ śaurirvaṭavṛkṣamivonnatam || 2 ||
He climbed the Kadamba tree, which stood in the forest like a pillar of the earth, resembling an elevated banyan tree in the midst of the ocean.
उसने कदंब वृक्ष पर चढ़ाई की, जो वन में पृथ्वी के स्तंभ के समान खड़ा था, समुद्र के बीच ऊँचे बरगद वृक्ष के समान।
तत्रासौ व्योमलग्नायाः शाखायाः प्रान्तपल्लवे | विवेश विगताशङ्कमेकाग्रं तप आस्थितः || ३ ||
tatrāsau vyomalagnāyāḥ śākhāyāḥ prāntapallave | viveśa vigatāśaṅkamekāgraṃ tapa āsthitaḥ || 3 ||
There, he entered the tip of the branch that was touching the sky, free from fear, focused, and engaged in penance.
वहाँ, उसने आकाश को छूती शाखा के अग्रभाग में प्रवेश किया, भयरहित, एकाग्र, और तपस्या में लगा हुआ।
अथोपविश्य मृदुनि नवपल्लवविष्टरे | क्षणमालोकितास्तेन दिशः कौतुकचञ्चलम् || ४ ||
athopaviśya mṛduni navapallavaviṣṭare | kṣaṇamālokitāsten diśaḥ kautukacañcalam || 4 ||
Then, sitting on the soft new leaves, he glanced at the directions with curiosity.
फिर, नरम नए पत्तों पर बैठकर, उसने उत्सुकता से दिशाओं की ओर देखा।
सरिदेकावलीरम्याः शैलेन्द्रस्तनकुड्मलाः | निर्मलाकाशकबरा लोलनीलाम्बुदालकाः || ५ ||
saridekāvalīramyāḥ śailendrastanakuḍmalāḥ | nirmalākāśakabarā lolanīlāmbudālakāḥ || 5 ||
He saw the beautiful river, the peaks of the mountains resembling breasts, the clear sky, and the moving blue clouds.
उसने सुंदर नदी, पर्वतों के शिखर जो स्तन के समान थे, साफ आकाश, और हिलते हुए नीले बादलों को देखा।
नीलपल्लववसनाः पुष्पपूरावतंसिकाःगृहीतसागरापूर्णकलशाः पुरुभूषणाः || ६ ||
nīlapallavavasanāḥ puṣpapūrāvataṃsikāḥgṛhītasāgarāpūrṇakalaśāḥ purubhūṣaṇāḥ || 6 ||
Clad in blue garments, adorned with garlands of flowers, holding pots filled with ocean waters, and decorated with various ornaments.
नीले वस्त्रों में वेश बदले, फूलों की मालाओं से सजे, समुद्र के जल से भरे कलश लिए, और विभिन्न आभूषणों से सजे।
धृतप्रफुल्लपद्मिन्यः सुगन्धिमुखमारुताःनीलघुंघुमकाकल्यो निर्झरारावनूपुराः || ७ ||
dhṛtapraphullapadminyaḥ sugandhimukhamārutāḥnīlaghuṃghumakākalyo nirjharārāvanūpurāḥ || 7 ||
Holding blooming lotuses, with fragrant breezes, wearing blue anklets that jingle like waterfalls, and adorned with anklets that sound like waterfalls.
खिले हुए कमल लिए, सुगंधित हवाओं से सजे, नीले घुंघरू पहने जो झरने की तरह बजते हैं, और झरने की तरह आवाज करने वाले पैरों के जेवर से सजे।
द्युमूर्धानो महीपादा वनालीरोमराजयःजङ्गलोरुनितम्बिन्यश्चन्द्रार्ककृतकुण्डलाः || ८ ||
dyumūrdhāno mahīpādā vanālīromarājayaḥjaṅgalorunitambinyaścandrārkakṛtakuṇḍalāḥ || 8 ||
With radiant crowns, feet touching the earth, with hair like forest vines, slender waists, and wearing earrings shaped like the moon and sun.
चमकदार मुकुटों से सजे, पैर पृथ्वी को छूते हुए, बाल जंगल की लताओं की तरह, पतली कमर वाले, और चाँद और सूर्य के आकार के कुंडल पहने।
शालिसंसारकेदाराश्चन्दनस्थालिकान्विताःशिखरोरसिजालग्नहिमशुभ्राम्बुदांशुकाः || ९ ||
śālisaṃsārakedārāścandanasthālikānvitāḥśikharorasijālagnahimaśubhrāmbudāṃśukāḥ || 9 ||
Adorned with garlands of rice plants, wearing sandalwood paste, with garlands of mountain peaks, and clad in white garments resembling clouds.
धान की बेलों की मालाओं से सजे, चंदन की लेप लगाए, पर्वत की चोटियों की मालाओं से सजे, और बादलों की तरह सफेद वस्त्रों में वेश बदले।
महार्णवपयःपूरनवमण्डनदर्पणाःऋक्षौघघर्मपुलका भुवनान्तःपुरान्तराः || १० ||
mahārṇavapayaḥpūranavamaṇḍanadarpaṇāḥṛkṣaughagharmapulakā bhuvanāntaḥpurāntarāḥ || 10 ||
With mirrors reflecting the great ocean, adorned with new ornaments, with bodies covered in sweat due to the heat of the sun, and residing within the inner chambers of the universe.
महान समुद्र को दर्पण में दिखाते हुए, नए आभूषणों से सजे, सूर्य की गर्मी से पसीने से भरे, और ब्रह्मांड के अंतर्गत कक्षों में रहने वाले।
आर्तवस्तनधारिण्यो लग्नसूर्यांशुकुङ्कुमाः | विचित्रकुसुमोपेताश्चन्द्रांशुसितचन्दनाः || ११ ||
ārtavastanadhāriṇyo lagnasūryāṃśukuṅkumāḥ | vicitra kusumopetāścandrāṃśusitacandanāḥ || 11 ||
Women bearing the signs of menstruation, adorned with saffron and the rays of the rising sun, decorated with various flowers, and with sandalwood as white as the rays of the moon.
आर्तव के चिह्नों से युक्त स्त्रियाँ, उदित सूर्य की किरणों और कुंकुम से सज्जित, विविध पुष्पों से अलंकृत, और चन्द्रमा की किरणों के समान श्वेत चन्दन से युक्त।
गगनगतलतादलोपविष्टः प्रसृतवनावनिवारिवाहवेषाः | त्रिभुवनवनिता ददर्श हृष्टः कुसुमनिरन्तरमण्डिता दशाशाः || १२ ||
gaganagatalatādalopaviṣṭaḥ prasṛtavanāvanivārivāhavēṣāḥ | tribhuvanavanitā dadarśa hṛṣṭaḥ kusumanirantaramaṇḍitā daśāśāḥ || 12 ||
The delighted women of the three worlds saw the sky adorned with vine leaves, with the appearance of flowing water from the forests and gardens, and the directions decorated continuously with flowers.
तीनों लोकों की स्त्रियाँ हर्षित होकर देखती हैं कि आकाश लताओं के पत्तों से सजा हुआ है, वन और उपवन से बहती हुई जलधारा के समान दिखाई देता है, और दिशाएँ लगातार फूलों से सजी हुई हैं।
