atha kānanamadhyasthaṃ cumbitāmbudamaṇḍalam | madhyāhnakhinna sūryāśvasevitaskandhamanḍalam || 1 ||
Then, the forest in the middle, kissed by the clouds, with the sun's horses tired at midday, resting on its shoulders.
तब, वन के मध्य में, बादलों द्वारा चुम्बित, दोपहर में थके हुए सूर्य के घोड़ों के साथ, उसके कंधों पर विश्राम करता है।
वितानमिव दिक्कुक्षिदीर्घं विटपबाहुभिः । आलोकयन्तं ककुभो विकासिकुसुमेक्षणैः || २ ||
vitānamiva dikkuksidīrghaṃ viṭapabāhubhiḥ | ālokayantaṃ kakubho vikāsikusumekṣaṇaiḥ || 2 ||
Like a canopy, long and stretched in all directions, with branches as arms, illuminating the directions with blooming flowers as eyes.
एक छत्र की तरह, सभी दिशाओं में लंबा और फैला हुआ, शाखाएं बाहों के रूप में, खिले हुए फूलों के आंखों से दिशाओं को प्रकाशित करता है।
वातावधूलितानल्पभ्रमद्भ्रमरकुन्तलम् । प्रमार्जयन्तमाशानां मुखं पल्लवपाणिभिः || ३ ||
vātāvadhūlitānalpabhramadbhrmarakuntalam | pramārjayantamāśānāṃ mukhaṃ pallavapāṇibhiḥ || 3 ||
With the wind blowing away the little dust, the bees buzzing around the flowers, cleansing the faces of the hopes with tender leaves.
हवा छोटी धूल को उड़ाती है, फूलों के चारों ओर भ्रमर बुझंगे हैं, कोमल पत्तों से आशाओं के चेहरे को साफ करते हैं।
कच्छैरुरुगुड्डच्छाच्छमञ्जरीपुञ्जकञ्जरैः । आस्यैरिव सताम्बूलैर्हसन्तं वनमालिकाः || ४ ||
kacchai ruruguḍḍacchācchamañjarīpuñjakañjaraiḥ | āsyairiva satāmbūlairhasantaṃ vanamālikāḥ || 4 ||
With the clusters of bright, clear bells, like the mouths of the virtuous, laughing with betel leaves, the forest garlands.
चमकीले, साफ घंटियों के झुंड के साथ, सत्य के मुखों की तरह, पान के पत्तों से हंसते हुए, वन के हार।
लताविलसितोल्लासैः पुष्पकेसरधूलिभिः । आबद्धमण्डलाभोगं पूर्णेन्दुमिव दीप्तिभिः || ५ ||
latāvilasitollāsaiḥ puṣpakesaradhūlibhiḥ | ābaddhamanḍalābhogaṃ pūrṇendumiva dīptibhiḥ || 5 ||
With the delightful play of the creepers, with the dust of the flower filaments, bound in a circular enjoyment, like the full moon with its radiance.
लताओं के आनंदमय खेल के साथ, फूलों की केसर की धूल के साथ, एक गोलाकार आनंद में बंधे हुए, पूर्ण चंद्रमा की तरह उसकी चमक के साथ।
संकटं विटपावल्या कुञ्जकूजच्चकोरया | छन्नया सिद्धवीथ्येव जगदुच्चतया श्रितम् || ६ ||
saṅkaṭaṃ viṭapāvalyā kuñjakūjaccakorayā | channayā siddhavīthyeva jagaduccatayā śritam || 6 ||
The world is supported by the elevated state of the cuckoo's cooing in the thickets, hidden by the dense foliage.
विश्व घने पत्तों से ढके हुए झुरमुटों में कोयल के कूजने की उच्च अवस्था से सहारा लेता है।
स्कन्धपीठोपविष्टानां लम्बमानैः कलापिनाम् | कलापैः शोभितं व्योम सेन्द्रचापैरिवाम्बुदैः || ७ ||
skandhapīṭhopaviṣṭānāṃ lambamānaiḥ kalāpinām | kalāpaiḥ śobhitaṃ vyoma sendracāpairivāmbudaiḥ || 7 ||
The sky is adorned with the hanging clusters of those seated on the shoulder-seats, like clouds with Indra's bows.
आकाश उनके कंधों पर बैठे हुए लोगों के लटकते हुए गुच्छों से सुशोभित है, जैसे इंद्र के धनुष वाले बादलों से।
मग्नोन्मग्नैः प्रतिस्कन्धमाश्रितैश्चमरैः सितैः | पूर्णं मुहुर्दृष्टनष्टैः संवत्सरमिवेन्दुभिः || ८ ||
magnonmagnaiḥ pratiskandhamāśritaiścamaraiḥ sitaiḥ | pūrṇaṃ muhurdṛṣṭanaṣṭaiḥ saṃvatsaramivendubhiḥ || 8 ||
Filled with white chowries that are repeatedly seen and lost, clinging to each branch, like the moon throughout the year.
हर डाल से चिपके हुए, बार-बार दिखने और छिपने वाले सफेद चौरियों से भरा हुआ, जैसे साल भर चंद्रमा।
कपिञ्जलकुलालापैः कलकोकिलकूजितैः | जीवंजीवविरावैश्च प्रगायन्तमिवोच्छ्रितैः || ९ ||
kapiñjalakulālāpaiḥ kalakokilakūjitaiḥ | jīvaṃjīvavirāvaiśca pragāyantamivocchritaiḥ || 9 ||
Singing as if with the elevated sounds of the chattering of the parrot flocks, the cooing of the cuckoos, and the cries of the jīvaṃjīva birds.
तोतों के झुंड की चहचहाहट, कोयल के कूजने और जीवंजीव पक्षियों की आवाजों के साथ गाते हुए, जैसे उच्च स्वरों में।
कादम्बककदम्बैश्च कुलायकृतकेलिभिः | स्वर्गकोटरविश्रान्तैः सिद्धैर्जगदिवावृतम् || १० ||
kādambakakadambaiśca kulāyakṛtakelibhiḥ | svargakoṭaraviśrāntaiḥ siddhairjagadivāvṛtam || 10 ||
The world seems to be enveloped by the accomplished ones who are resting in the heavenly caves, playing with the nests made of kadamba flowers.
विश्व उन सिद्धों से घिरा हुआ लगता है जो स्वर्गीय गुफाओं में विश्राम कर रहे हैं, कदंब फूलों से बने घोंसलों में खेल रहे हैं।
प्रवालचलहस्ताभिरलिनेत्राभिराश्रितम् | अप्सरोभिरिव स्वर्गं मञ्जरीभिरितस्ततः || ११ ||
pravālacalahastābhiralinetrābhirāśritam | apsarobhiriva svargaṃ mañjarībhiritastataḥ || 11 ||
Adorned with coral-like hands and bee-like eyes, it is as if the heaven is adorned with Apsaras and flowers everywhere.
प्रवाल के समान हाथों और भौंरे के समान नेत्रों से सुशोभित, यह ऐसा लगता है जैसे स्वर्ग अप्सराओं और फूलों से सजा हुआ है।
सेन्द्रचापविलासेन कुमुदोत्कररेणुना | मञ्जरीपिञ्जराश्यामं विद्युत्वन्तमिवाम्बुदम् || १२ ||
sendracāpavilāsena kumudotkarareṇunā | mañjarīpiñjarāśyāmaṃ vidyutvantamivāmbudam || 12 ||
With the play of Indra's bow (rainbow) and the pollen of lotuses, it appears like a dark cloud illuminated by lightning, adorned with flower buds and bees.
इंद्र के धनुष (इंद्रधनुष) की लीला और कमल के पराग से, यह बिजली से प्रकाशित dark बादल के समान दिखाई देता है, जो फूलों के कलियों और भौंरों से सजा हुआ है।
सहस्रभुजशाखाख्यं पूरिताकाशकोटरम् | विश्वरूपमिवोन्नृत्तं चन्द्रार्ककृतकुण्डलम् || १३ ||
sahasrabhujashākhākhyaṃ pūritākāśakoṭaram | viśvarūpamivonnṛttaṃ candrārkakṛtakuṇḍalam || 13 ||
Known as the thousand-armed branch, it fills the hollow of the sky. It appears like the cosmic form in dance, adorned with the moon and sun as earrings.
सहस्र भुजाओं वाली शाखा के रूप में जाना जाता है, यह आकाश की खोखली को भरता है। यह चंद्रमा और सूर्य के कुंडल से सजा नृत्य करते हुए विश्वरूप के समान दिखाई देता है।
तले निषण्णनागेन्द्रं व्योम्नि तारागणाकुलम् | लतापुष्पमयं मध्ये खमण्डलमिवापरम् || १४ ||
tale niṣaṇṇanāgendraṃ vyomni tārāgaṇākulam | latāpuṣpamayaṃ madhye khamaṇḍalamivāparam || 14 ||
Below, the king of serpents is seated, and in the sky, there are clusters of stars. In the middle, there is another celestial sphere made of creepers and flowers.
नीचे, सर्पों का राजा बैठा हुआ है, और आकाश में तारों के समूह हैं। बीच में, लताओं और फूलों से बना एक और आकाशीय मंडल है।
पितामहमिवाशेषशैलकाननशालिनम् | फलपल्लवपुष्पाणां कोशमेकमिवावनौ || १५ ||
pitāmahamivāśeṣaśailakānanaśālinam | phalapallavapuṣpāṇāṃ kośamekamivāvanau || 15 ||
Like the grandfather (Brahma), it is adorned with all mountains and forests. It appears as if it is a single treasure of fruits, buds, and flowers in the forest.
पितामह (ब्रह्मा) के समान, यह सभी पर्वतों और वनों से सुशोभित है। यह ऐसा लगता है जैसे यह वन में फलों, कलियों और फूलों का एक खजाना है।
दधानं कलिकाजालं स्थगितं पुष्पधूलिभिः | कच्छेष्वर्ककरच्छन्नताराजालमिवाम्बरम् || १६ ||
dadhānaṃ kalikājālaṃ sthagitaṃ puṣpadhūlibhiḥ | kaccheṣvarkakaracchannatārājālamivāmbaram || 16 ||
The sky is adorned with the network of buds, hidden by the dust of flowers, and appears like a network of stars covered with the rays of the sun.
आकाश फूलों की धूल से ढका हुआ है, जिसमें कलिकाओं का जाल स्थगित है, और यह सूर्य की किरणों से ढके हुए तारों के जाल की तरह दिखाई देता है।
विलोलविहगैः स्कन्धैः कुलायकुलसंकुलैः | वलितं भूतलं लोके पूर्णैर्जनपदैरिव || १७ ||
vilolavihagaiḥ skandhaiḥ kulāyakulasankulaiḥ | valitaṃ bhūtalaṃ loke pūrṇairjanapadairiva || 17 ||
The earth is surrounded by swaying birds with their nests, and it appears as if it is filled with people.
पृथ्वी झूलते हुए पक्षियों और उनके घोंसलों से घिरी हुई है, और यह लगता है कि यह लोगों से भरी हुई है।
मञ्जरीसुपताकाढ्यं लतामण्डलमण्डितम् | पुष्पमङ्कोलधवलं पुष्पप्रकरपूरितम् || १८ ||
mañjarīsupatākāḍhyaṃ latāmaṇḍalamaṇḍitam | puṣpamaṅkoladhavalaṃ puṣpaprakarapūritam || 18 ||
The earth is adorned with clusters of flowering vines and banners, filled with white flowers and surrounded by heaps of flowers.
पृथ्वी फूलों की लताओं और झंडों के झुंड से सजी हुई है, सफेद फूलों से भरी हुई है और फूलों के ढेर से घिरी हुई है।
कूजच्चकोरभ्रमरशुककोकिलसारिकम् | घनस्तबकसंछन्नकुहरोग्रगवाक्षकम् || १९ ||
kūjaccakorabhramarśukakokilasārikam | ghanastabakasaṃchannakuharogragavākṣakam || 19 ||
The earth is filled with the sounds of chakora birds, bees, parrots, cuckoos, and maina birds, and it is covered with dense clusters of hibiscus flowers.
पृथ्वी चकोर, भौंरे, तोते, कोयल और मैना पक्षियों की आवाजों से भरी हुई है, और घने गुड़हल फूलों के झुंड से ढकी हुई है।
संचरत्पक्षिबहुलं जनमन्थरकोटरम् | सर्वासां वनदेवीनामन्तःपुरमिवोत्तमम् || २० ||
saṃcaratpakṣibahulaṃ janamantharakoṭaram | sarvāsāṃ vanadevīnāmantaḥpuramivottamam || 20 ||
The earth is filled with many birds and is a secluded place for people, appearing as the best inner sanctum of all forest goddesses.
पृथ्वी बहुत से पक्षियों से भरी हुई है और लोगों के लिए एक एकांत स्थान है, जो सभी वन देवियों के उत्तम अंतःपुर की तरह दिखाई देती है।
कूजद्भृङ्गतरङ्गौघैः पुष्पकेसरराजिभिः | राजमानं पतन्तीभिः सरिद्भिरिव पर्वतम् || २१ ||
kūjadbhṛṅgataraṅgaugheḥ puṣpakesararājibhiḥ | rājamānaṃ patantībhiḥ saridbhiriva parvatam || 21 ||
The mountain appears as if it is being adorned by rivers flowing with the humming of bees and rows of flower buds.
पर्वत ऐसा लगता है मानो भौंरों के गुंजन और फूलों की कलियों की पंक्तियों से बहती हुई नदियों से सुशोभित हो रहा हो।
भ्रमद्भिः पुष्पपत्रौघैर्मन्दवातविलासिभिः | वर्धमानैर्वृतस्कन्धं शुभ्राभ्रैरिव भूधरम् || २२ ||
bhramadbhiḥ puṣpapatraughehrmandavātavilāsibhiḥ | vardhamānairvṛtaskandhaṃ śubhrābhrairiva bhūdharam || 22 ||
The mountain appears as if it is covered with increasing clouds, which are like whirling flower petals played by the gentle breeze.
पर्वत ऐसा लगता है मानो बढ़ते हुए बादलों से ढका हुआ हो, जो मंद हवा के खेल से घूमते हुए फूलों की पंखुड़ियों के समान हैं।
मातङ्गकटघृष्टेन जानुस्तब्धेन पीठिना | आभोगिना बद्धपदं तरुणेव महाचलम् || २३ ||
mātaṅgakaṭaghṛṣṭena jānustabdhena pīṭhinā | ābhoginā baddhapadaṃ taruṇeva mahācalam || 23 ||
The mountain appears as if it is a young elephant with its knees stiffened, rubbing its sides, with its feet bound, and curving its body.
पर्वत ऐसा लगता है मानो एक युवा हाथी हो जिसके घुटने स्थिर हैं, अपनी पसलियों को रगड़ रहा हो, पैर बंधे हुए हों, और शरीर को झुका रहा हो।
विचित्रवर्णपक्षाणां स्कन्धकोटरचारिणाम् | वृतं खगानां वृन्देन भूतानामिव शार्ङ्गिणम् || २४ ||
vicitravarṇapakṣāṇāṃ skandhakoṭaracāriṇām | vṛtaṃ khagānāṃ vṛndena bhūtānāmiva śārṅgiṇam || 24 ||
The mountain appears as if it is surrounded by a group of birds with colorful wings, moving in the hollows of the shoulders, like beings around Shiva.
पर्वत ऐसा लगता है मानो रंगबिरंगे पंखों वाले पक्षियों के एक समूह से घिरा हुआ हो, जो कंधों की खाली जगहों में घूम रहे हों, जैसे भूतों के समूह शिव के चारों ओर।
स्तबकाङ्गुलिजालेन लोलेनाभिनयक्रियाम् | दिशन्तमिव वल्लीनां प्रवृत्तानां वनानिलैः || २५ ||
stabakāṅgulijālena lolenābhinayakriyām | diśantamiva vallīnāṃ pravṛttānāṃ vanānilaiḥ || 25 ||
The mountain appears as if it is indicating the gestures of the moving creepers with the swaying network of flower buds, directed by the forest winds.
पर्वत ऐसा लगता है मानो लहराते हुए फूलों के बंडलों के जाल से घूमती हुई बेलों की मुद्राएँ दिखा रहा हो, जो वन की हवाओं द्वारा निर्देशित हों।
कश्चिदेव निवासो मे नार्थिनामिति तुष्टितः | नृत्यन्तमिव बह्वाढ्यलतावलयवल्गनैः || २६ ||
kaścideva nivāso me nārthināmiti tuṣṭitaḥ | nṛtyantamiva bahvāḍhyalatāvalayavalganaiḥ || 26 ||
Someone is content with their abode, not desiring wealth, as if dancing with the abundance of luxurious vines.
किसी को अपना घर ही संतोष देता है, धन की इच्छा नहीं करता, मानो वह विलासिता से भरी लताओं के साथ नाच रहा हो।
लताकान्तैककान्तत्वाच्छृङ्गाररसनिर्भरम् | काकल्येव प्रगायन्तं मत्तालिनिजनिःस्वनैः || २७ ||
latākāntaikakāntatvācchṛṅgārarasanirbharam | kākalyeva pragāyantaṃ mattālinijaniḥsvanaiḥ || 27 ||
Due to the unique charm of the beloved vines, it is filled with the essence of love, singing like a cuckoo with the sweet sounds of intoxicated bees.
प्रिय लताओं के अनोखे आकर्षण के कारण, यह प्रेम की आत्मा से भरा हुआ है, मानो मधुमत्त भौंरों की मधुर ध्वनि के साथ कोयल गा रही हो।
आदरोन्मुक्तकुसुमं सिद्धानां व्योमचारिणाम् | स्वागतानीव कुर्वाणं कोकिलालिकुलारवैः || २८ ||
ādaroonmuktakusumaṃ siddhānāṃ vyomacāriṇām | svāgatānīva kurvāṇaṃ kokilālikulāravaiḥ || 28 ||
With respect, the flowers bloom as if welcoming the celestial beings who traverse the sky, with the melodious sounds of cuckoos and bees.
सम्मान के साथ, फूल खिलते हैं मानो आकाश में चलने वाले सिद्धों का स्वागत कर रहे हों, कोयल और भौंरों की मधुर ध्वनि के साथ।
लतापुष्पफलोल्लासं प्रान्तपञ्चमहीरुहाम् | विहसन्तमिवाच्छाभिः पुष्पकुड्मलदीप्तिभिः || २९ ||
latāpuṣpaphalollāsaṃ prāntapañcamahīruhām | vihasantamivācchābhiḥ puṣpakuḍmaladīptibhiḥ || 29 ||
The vines bloom with flowers and fruits, as if laughing with the brilliance of the blossoms at the edges of the five great trees.
लताएँ फूलों और फलों से भरी हुई हैं, मानो पाँच महान पेड़ों की शाखाओं पर खिले फूलों की चमक के साथ हँस रही हों।
पारिजातमिवाजेतुमूर्ध्वगैः खगमण्डलैः | व्योमान्तराभिधावन्तमलमुद्धतकन्धरम् || ३० ||
pārijātamivājetumūrdhvagaiḥ khagamaṇḍalaiḥ | vyomāntarābhidhāvantamalamuddhatakandharam || 30 ||
As if to conquer the celestial tree Pārijāta, with birds flying high in the sky, it seems to run through the sky with an uplifted neck.
मानो दिव्य वृक्ष पारिजात को जीतने के लिए, आकाश में ऊँचाई पर उड़ते पक्षियों के साथ, यह ऊँची गर्दन के साथ आकाश में दौड़ता हुआ प्रतीत होता है।
मध्यभागस्फुरत्तुङ्गैः स्तबकैर्घनपङ्क्तिभिः | सहस्राक्षत्वमतुलैर्जेतुमिन्द्रमिवोद्यतम् || ३१ ||
madhyabhāgasphurattuṅgaiḥ stabakairghanapaṅktibhiḥ | sahasrākṣatvamatulairjetumindramivodyatam || 31 ||
With its middle part swelling with dense rows of clusters of flowers, it seemed to challenge Indra, the thousand-eyed, as if to conquer him.
अपने मध्य भाग में घनी पंक्तियों में फूलों के गुच्छों से फूला हुआ, यह हजार आँखों वाले इंद्र को परास्त करने के लिए उद्यत प्रतीत होता है।
क्वचित्कुसुमगुच्छाच्छफणामणिगणावृतम् | पातालादुत्थितं शेषमिव व्योमदिदृक्षया || ३२ ||
kvacitkusumaguccācchaphaṇāmaṇigaṇāvṛtam | pātālādutthitaṃ śeṣamiva vyomadidṛkṣayā || 32 ||
Somewhere covered with clusters of flowers resembling the jewels on the hood of a serpent, it seemed as if Shesha, the serpent king, had risen from the underworld to see the sky.
कहीं-कहीं फूलों के गुच्छों से ढका हुआ, जो सर्प के फण पर रत्नों की तरह लगता है, यह ऐसा लगता है जैसे शेष, सर्प राजा, पाताल से उठकर आकाश देखने के लिए आया हो।
रजसोद्भूलिताकारं द्वितीयमिव शंकरम् | छायया फलशालिन्या समस्तजनशंकरम् || ३३ ||
rajasodbhūlitākāraṃ dvitīyamiva śaṅkaram | chāyayā phalaśālinyā samastajanaśaṅkaram || 33 ||
With its form obscured by dust, it appeared like another Shankara, the benefactor of all people, with its shade full of fruits.
धूल से ढके हुए रूप से, यह दूसरे शंकर की तरह लगता है, जो सभी लोगों का कल्याणकर्ता है, और इसकी छाया फलों से भरी हुई है।

He saw the kadamba tree in the sky, adorned with new flower buds that had burst open, resembling a city with its dense leaves and flowers, and filled with the chirping of birds.
उसने आकाश में कदंब वृक्ष देखा, जो नये फूलों के बटनों से सजा हुआ था जो फूट गए थे, घने पत्तों और फूलों के साथ एक नगर की तरह लग रहा था, और पक्षियों के चहचहाहट से भरा हुआ था।
