śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca | athākṣipya vacastasya tanayasya tathā bhṛgoḥ | uvāca bhagavānkālo vaco gambhīranisvanaḥ || 1 ||
Shri Vasishtha said: Then, interrupting the words of his son, Bhrigu, the venerable Lord Kala spoke with a deep voice.
श्री वसिष्ठ ने कहा: फिर, अपने पुत्र भृगु के शब्दों को रोककर, भगवान काल ने गहरी आवाज में कहा।
काल उवाच | समङ्गातापसीमेतां तनुं संत्यज्य भार्गव | प्रविशेमां तनुं साधो नगरीमिव पार्थिवः || २ ||
kāla uvāca | samaṅgātāpasīmetāṃ tanuṃ saṃtyajya bhārgava | praviśemāṃ tanuṃ sādho nagarīmiva pārthivaḥ || 2 ||
Kala said: O Bhrigu, abandon this body, which is the abode of all austerities, and enter this body, O virtuous one, like a king entering a city.
काल ने कहा: हे भृगु, इस शरीर को छोड़ दो, जो सभी तपस्याओं का आश्रय है, और हे साधु, इस शरीर में प्रवेश करो, जैसे कि एक राजा नगर में प्रवेश करता है।
काले पूर्वजया तन्वा तपः कृत्वा तया पुनः | गुरुत्वमसुरेन्द्राणां कर्तव्यं भवतानघ || ३ ||
kāle pūrvajayā tanvā tapaḥ kṛtvā tayā punaḥ | gurutvamasurendrāṇāṃ kartavyaṃ bhavatānagha || 3 ||
O sinless one, having performed austerities with the body obtained from Kala and his wife, you should again become the guru of the Asuras.
हे निष्पाप, काल और उनकी पत्नी से प्राप्त शरीर के साथ तपस्या करके, फिर से असुरों के गुरु बनना चाहिए।
महाकल्पान्त आयाते भवता भार्गवी तनुः | अपुनर्ग्रहणायैषा त्याज्या प्रम्लानपुष्पवत् || ४ ||
mahākalpānta āyāte bhavatā bhārgavī tanuḥ | apunargrahaṇāyaiṣā tyājyā pramllānapuṣpavat || 4 ||
At the end of the great kalpa, O Bhrigu, this body should be abandoned like a withered flower, not to be taken again.
महाकल्प के अंत में, हे भृगु, इस शरीर को एक मुरझाया फूल की तरह छोड़ देना चाहिए, जिसे फिर से नहीं लेना चाहिए।
जीवन्मुक्तपदं प्राप्तस्तन्वा प्राक्तनरूपया | महासुरेन्द्रगुरुतां कुर्वंस्तिष्ठ महामते || ५ ||
jīvanmuktapadaṃ prāptastanvā prāktanarūpayā | mahāsurendragurutāṃ kurvaṃstiṣṭha mahāmate || 5 ||
Having attained the state of jivanmukta with your previous form, O wise one, remain steadfast in the role of the guru of the great Asuras.
अपने पूर्व रूप के साथ जीवन्मुक्त की अवस्था प्राप्त करके, हे बुद्धिमान, महान असुरों के गुरु की भूमिका में स्थिर रहो।
कल्याणमस्तु वां यामो वयं त्वभिमतां दिशम् | न किंचिदपि यच्चित्तं यस्य नाभिमतं भवेष्पत् || ६ ||
kalyāṇamastu vāṃ yāmo vayaṃ tvabhimatāṃ diśam | na kiṃcidapi yaccittaṃ yasya nābhimataṃ bhaveṣpat || 6 ||
May you both be blessed | We will go in the desired direction | There is nothing in the mind that is not desired
आप दोनों कल्याण हो | हम वहाँ जाएंगे जहाँ हमारी इच्छा है | मन में कुछ भी ऐसा नहीं है जो अभीष्ट न हो
इत्युक्त्वा मुञ्चतोर्वाष्पं तयोः सोऽन्तरधीयत | तप्तांग्योरिव रोदस्योः सममंशुभिरंशुमान् || ७ ||
ityuktvā muñcatorvāṣpaṃ tayoḥ so'ntaradhīyata | taptāṃgyoriva rodasyoḥ samamaṃśubhiraṃśumān || 7 ||
Having said this, he disappeared as they shed tears | Like the sun setting between the heated earth and sky, equally radiant
ऐसा कहकर, उनके आँसू बहाते हुए वह अंतर्ध्यान हो गया | जैसे तप्त पृथ्वी और आकाश के बीच सूर्य अस्त होता है, समान रूप से चमकता हुआ
गते तस्मिन्भगवति कृतान्ते भवितव्यताम् | विचार्य भार्गवोऽभेद्यां नियतेर्नियतां गतिम् || ८ ||
gate tasminbhagavati kṛtānte bhavitavyatām | vicārya bhārgavo'bhedyāṃ niyaterniyatāṃ gatim || 8 ||
When that divine being, the lord of death, had gone, Bhargava considered the inevitable fate | He entered the unchangeable, fixed path
जब वह दिव्य प्राणी, मृत्यु का स्वामी, चला गया, तो भार्गव ने अनिवार्य भाग्य पर विचार किया | उसने अपरिवर्तनीय, निश्चित मार्ग में प्रवेश किया
कालकारणसंशुष्कां भाविपुष्पशुभोदयाम् | विवेश तां तनुं बालां सुलतामिव माधवः || ९ ||
kālakāraṇasaṃśuṣkāṃ bhāvipuṣpaśubhodayām | viveśa tāṃ tanuṃ bālāṃ sulatāmiva mādhavaḥ || 9 ||
He entered that young body, dried by the cause of time, with the auspicious blossoming of future flowers | Like Madhava entering a beautiful creeper
उसने उस युवा शरीर में प्रवेश किया, जो समय के कारण से सूखा हुआ था, भविष्य के फूलों के शुभ खिलने के साथ | जैसे माधव एक सुंदर लता में प्रवेश करता है
सा ब्राह्मणीतनुर्भूमौ विवर्णवदनाङ्गिका | पपात कम्पिता तूर्णं छिन्नमूला लता यथा || १० ||
sā brāhmaṇītanurbhūmau vivarṇavadanāṅgikā | papāta kampitā tūrṇaṃ chinnamūlā latā yathā || 10 ||
That Brahmin woman's body fell to the ground, her face and limbs pale | She fell trembling quickly, like a creeper with its roots cut
वह ब्राह्मण महिला का शरीर धरती पर गिरा, उसका चेहरा और अंग फीके थे | वह तेजी से काँपते हुए गिरी, जैसे जड़ कटी हुई लता
तस्यां प्रविष्टजीवायां पुत्रतन्वां महामुनिः | चकाराप्यायनं मन्त्रैः स कमण्डलुवारिभिः || ११ ||
tasyāṃ praviṣṭajīvāyāṃ putratanvāṃ mahāmuniḥ | cakārāpyāyanaṃ mantraiḥ sa kamaṇḍaluvāribhiḥ || 11 ||
When the life-force had entered her, the great sage performed the ritual of nourishment with mantras and water from his kamandalu.
जब उसमें जीवन शक्ति प्रवेश कर गई, तब महामुनि ने मंत्रों और कमंडलु के जल से पुष्टि की प्रक्रिया की।
सर्वा नाड्यस्ततस्तन्वास्तस्याः पूर्णा विरेजिरे | सरितः प्रावृषीवाम्बुपूरपूरितकोटराः || १२ ||
sarvā nāḍyastatastanvāstasyāḥ pūrṇā virejire | saritaḥ prāvṛṣīvāmbupūrapūritakoṭarāḥ || 12 ||
All the channels of her body became full and shone like rivers filled with rainwater during the monsoon.
उसके शरीर की सभी नाड़ियाँ भर गईं और वर्षा काल में पानी से भरी नदियों की तरह चमकने लगीं।
नलिनी प्रावृषीवासौ मधाविव नवा लता | यदा पूर्णा तदा तस्याः प्रान्ताः पल्लविता बभुः || १३ ||
nalinī prāvṛṣīvāsau madhāviva navā latā | yadā pūrṇā tadā tasyāḥ prāntāḥ pallavitā babhuḥ || 13 ||
Like a lotus in the rainy season or a new vine in spring, when it was full, its edges bloomed.
जैसे वर्षा काल में कमल या वसंत में नई लता, जब वह भर गई, तब उसके किनारे खिल उठे।
अथ शुक्रः समुत्तस्थौ वहत्प्राणसमीरणः | रसमारुतसंयोगादापूर्ण इव वारिदः || १४ ||
atha śukraḥ samuttasthau vahatprāṇasamīraṇaḥ | rasamārutasaṃyogādāpūrṇa iva vāridaḥ || 14 ||
Then Shukra arose, carrying the breath of life, like a cloud filled with moisture and wind.
तब शुक्र उठा, जीवन की साँस लेकर, जैसे आर्द्रता और हवा से भरा हुआ बादल।
पुरोऽभिवादयामास पितरं पावनाकृतिम् | प्रथमोल्लासितो मेघः स्तनितेनेव पर्वतम् || १५ ||
puro'bhivādayāmāsa pitaraṃ pāvanākṛtim | prathamollāsito meghaḥ staniteneiva parvatam || 15 ||
He then greeted his father, who had a purifying form, like a cloud greeting a mountain with its first thunder.
तब उसने अपने पिता को प्रणाम किया, जिनका रूप पवित्र था, जैसे बादल अपने पहले गर्जन से पर्वत को प्रणाम करता है।
पिताथ प्राक्तनीं तन्वा आलिलिङ्गाकृतिं ततः | स्नेहार्द्रवृत्तिर्जलदश्चिरादद्रितटीमिव || १६ ||
pitātha prāktanīṃ tanvā āliliṅgākṛtiṃ tataḥ | snehaārdra-vṛttirjaladaścirādadritaṭīmiva || 16 ||
Then the father embraced his former body, which had the form of a tender creeper. He was full of affection, like a cloud that has long been on the mountain slope.
फिर पिता ने अपने पूर्व शरीर को आलिंगन किया, जो एक कोमल लता के रूप में था। वह स्नेह से भरा हुआ था, जैसे एक बादल जो पहाड़ी की ढलान पर लंबे समय से है।
भृगुर्ददर्श सस्नेहं प्राक्तनीं तानवीं तनुम् | मत्तो जातेयमित्यास्थां हसन्नपि महामतिः || १७ ||
bhṛgurdadarśa sasnehaṃ prāktanīṃ tānavīṃ tanum | matto jāteyamityāsthāṃ hasannapi mahāmatiḥ || 17 ||
Bhrigu saw his former delicate body with affection. Even while laughing, the wise one thought, 'This has been born from me.'
भृगु ने अपने पूर्व कोमल शरीर को स्नेह से देखा। हँसते हुए भी, बुद्धिमान ने सोचा, 'यह मुझसे उत्पन्न हुआ है।'
मत्पुत्रोऽयमिति स्नेहो भृगुमप्यहरत्तदा | परमात्मीयता देहे यावदाकृतिभाविनी || १८ ||
matputro'yamiti sneho bhṛgumapyaharattadā | paramātmīyatā dehe yāvadākṛtibhāvinī || 18 ||
The affection that 'This is my son' took over Bhrigu as well at that time. The supreme self-nature in the body was as long as the form existed.
यह स्नेह कि 'यह मेरा पुत्र है' उस समय भृगु को भी घेर लिया। शरीर में परम आत्मा की प्रकृति जब तक रूप बनी रही।
बभूवतुः पितापुत्रौ तावथान्योन्यशोभितौ | निशावसानमुदितावर्कपद्माकराविव || १९ ||
babhūvatuḥ pitāputrau tāvathānyonyaśobhitau | niśāvasānamuditāvarkapadmākarāviva || 19 ||
The father and son became mutually adorned, like the sun and lotus blooming at the end of the night.
पिता और पुत्र परस्पर शोभित हो गए, जैसे रात के अंत में सूर्य और कमल खिलते हैं।
चिरसंगमसंबद्धाविव चक्राह्वदम्पती | घनागमनसस्नेहौ मयूरजलदाविव || २० ||
cirasaṃgamasambaddhāviva cakrāhvadampatī | ghanāgamanasasnehaumayūrajaladāviva || 20 ||
They were united as if in a long-awaited union, like the divine couple Chakra and his consort, full of affection like the peacock and the cloud.
वे ऐसे एक हो गए जैसे लंबे समय के बाद मिलन हुआ हो, जैसे दिव्य जोड़े चक्र और उनकी सहचरी, मोर और बादल की तरह स्नेह से भरे हुए।
चिरकालदृढोत्कण्ठौ तुल्ययोग्यतया तया | स्थित्वा तत्र मुहूर्तं तावथोत्थाय महामती || २१ ||
cirakāladṛḍhotkaṇṭhau tulyayogyatayā tayā | sthitvā tatra muhūrtaṃ tāvathotthāya mahāmatī || 21 ||
Having waited eagerly for a long time, both of them, being equally worthy, stood there for a moment and then rose up, being highly intelligent.
चिरकाल से उत्कण्ठा से भरे हुए, दोनों समान योग्यता से वहाँ कुछ समय तक रहे और फिर उठे, महान बुद्धिमान होने के कारण।
समङ्गाद्विजदेहं तं भस्मसात्तत्र चक्रतुः | को हि नाम जगज्जातमाचारं नानुतिष्ठति || २२ ||
samaṅgādvijadehaṃ taṃ bhasmasāttatra cakratuḥ | ko hi nāma jagajjātamācāraṃ nānutiṣṭhati || 22 ||
They reduced the body of the bird to ashes there. Who in this world does not follow the conduct of the universe?
उन्होंने वहाँ पक्षी के शरीर को भस्म कर दिया। इस संसार में कौन ऐसा है जो संसार के आचरण का अनुसरण नहीं करता?
एवं तौ कानने तस्मिन्पावने भृगुभार्गवौ | संस्थितौ तापसौ दीप्तौ दिवीव शशिभास्करौ || २३ ||
evaṃ tau kānane tasminpāvane bhṛgubhārgavau | saṃsthitau tāpasau dīptau divīva śaśibhāskarau || 23 ||
Thus, those two, Bhrigu and Bharadvaja, remained in that sacred forest, shining like the sun and the moon in the sky.
इस प्रकार, वे दोनों, भृगु और भार्गव, उस पवित्र वन में रहे, आकाश में सूर्य और चंद्रमा की तरह चमकते हुए।
चेरतुर्ज्ञातविज्ञेयौ जीवन्मुक्तौ जगद्गुरू | देशकालदशौघेषु सुसमौ सुस्थिरौ ततः || २४ ||
ceraturjñātavijñeyau jīvanmuktau jagadgurū | deśakāladashauṅheṣu susamau susthirau tataḥ || 24 ||
They moved about, knowing the knowable, liberated while living, teachers of the world, perfectly balanced and steady in all places, times, and conditions.
वे ज्ञातव्य को जानते हुए विचरण करते थे, जीवनमुक्त, जगत् के गुरु, सभी स्थानों, समयों और परिस्थितियों में पूर्णतः संतुलित और स्थिर।
अथासुरगुरुत्वं स शुक्रः कालेन लब्धवान् | भृगुरप्यात्मनो योग्ये पदेऽतिष्ठदनामये || २५ ||
athāsuragurutvaṃ sa śukraḥ kālena labdhvān | bhṛgurapyātmano yogye pade'tiṣṭhadanāmaye || 25 ||
Then Shukra attained the position of the teacher of the demons over time. Bhrigu also established himself in a suitable position without any flaw.
फिर शुक्र ने समय के साथ असुरों के गुरु का पद प्राप्त किया। भृगु ने भी किसी दोष के बिना अपने लिए उपयुक्त पद पर स्थिर हो गया।
शुक्रोऽसौ प्रथममिति क्रमेण जातस्तस्मात्सत्परमपदादुदारकीर्तिःस्वेनाशु स्मृतिपदविभ्रमेण पश्चादन्येषु प्रविलुलितो दशान्तरेषु || २६ ||
śukro'sau prathamamiti krameṇa jātastasmātsatparamapadādudārakīrtiḥsvenāśu smṛtipadavibhrameṇa paścādanyeṣu pravilulito daśāntareṣu || 26 ||
Shukra was the first to be born in order, and from that supreme abode, he became famous. Later, due to the confusion in his memory, he wandered in other realms.
शुक्र पहले क्रम में उत्पन्न हुए, और उस उत्तम पद से, वह प्रसिद्ध हो गया। बाद में, उसकी स्मृति में भ्रम के कारण, वह अन्य लोकों में भटकता रहा।
