Shri Rama said: Who creates the bodies with the mind, intellect, and other consciousness? Who deludes the beings with the bonds of affection and passion?
May the world awaken to the infinite, non-dual self, which is both external and internal, and which pervades all space and time with the bliss of consciousness.
deśakālakriyālokarūpacittātmasatpadam| deśakālādiśabdārtharahitaṃ na ca śūnyakam || 12 ||
The abode of the true self, which is the form of space, time, action, and world, is not devoid of the meaning of words like space, time, etc., nor is it empty.
If the effect is inherent in the cause, then what is the nature of its causality? From the perception of the effect alone, both are known to be unreal.
In the state of dreaming, the dream itself is perceived as real due to the grasping of the waking state. In the waking state, the dream is understood to be unreal.
The mind, which is considered to be the only reality, remains like the mirage water | It attains the state of wakefulness and dream due to the disturbance of thoughts.
This knowledge and ignorance are like the world-consciousness revealed. That itself has ceased to exist from knowledge, the existence of the embodied being.
jahāti piṇḍakāṭhinyaṃ jāgratsvapnāvabodhataḥparāṃ pelavatāmeti hema drutamivāgninā || 29 ||
It abandons the hardness of the body through the awakening of the waking and dreaming states, and attains the highest subtlety, like gold quickly by fire.
In the waking state, by such contemplation, the dream-like insignificance is perceived | Just as the autumn season wanes, so does the essence diminish || 31 ||
parāṃ pelavatāṃ yātā dṛśyalakṣmyaḥ sthitā api | svapnā iva parijñātā na svadante vivekinaḥ || 32 ||
Even though the visible beauties have reached the ultimate insignificance, they are not enjoyed by the wise, as they are known to be like dreams || 32 ||
kva kila svātmaviśrāntiḥ kvaitadvaiṣayavedanam | suṣuptajāgratoraikyaṃ bhrāntābhrāntātmanorbhavet || 33 ||
Where is the rest in one's own self, and where is the perception of these objects? The unity of deep sleep and waking states occurs in the deluded and the undeluded selves || 33 ||
When the mind is absorbed in the truth and intellect, the peaceful-minded one sees the world as a reflection of the sky, like a net of islands and a net of rays.
From the knowledge of the emptiness of reality in the waking state, one turns away from the delusion of the mind's wandering, which is the enjoyment of false appearances.
Just as the taste of a dream vanishes upon knowing it, so does the perception of the seen vanish. The knot of the defect of the state of the seer and the seen is cut.
From enlightenment, the dense network of the lamp's rays appears like the sky, and the entire world, which is of the nature of illusion, appears like a mirage.
The elements, beginning with earth, which are perceived by the ignorant, disappear with knowledge, and even when they exist, they are not perceived by the wise.
The supreme ignorance, which is the cause of the body, world, sky, mountains, and senses, dissolves when it is destroyed, and everything that exists also dissolves.
With a peaceful mind, free from all thoughts, full of the essence of one's true nature, the wise one, satisfied with the supreme bliss, remains uncovered.
