na kadācana yātyastamudeti na kadācana | brahma brahmacidābhānaṃ sarvadātmanyavasthitam || 20 ||

It never sets nor rises. Brahman, the luminous consciousness, is always established in the self.

English

The nature of the self (svabhāvo) is pure and eternal (nirmalo'kṣayaḥ), whether it is in motion (spandā) or stillness (aspandau). These are not different from the self (ātmano), just as the sky (nabhasvataḥ) is not different from itself.

jarāmaraṇahantṛṇi kṣaṇānyatra pṛthakpṛthak | bhavantviti yathaitāni santi tvatkalpanāpure || 24 ||

English

Old age (jarā), death (maraṇa), and destruction (hantṛṇi) exist separately in different moments (kṣaṇānyatra pṛthakpṛthak). Thus, they are said to exist in the city of your imagination (tvatkalpanāpure).

English

O King, the one who does not imagine, imagines in the city of imagination | Like a child playing with blades of grass

English

This is indeed the very nature of the self, which is pure consciousness | Whatever it imagines quickly, even the parts of it are there

pratyekaṃ kila tatrāsti brahmacinmātratātmani | sarvātmikā sā yatrāste yathāntarbhāti tattathā || 29 ||

English

Indeed, each one exists in the self, which is the essence of pure consciousness | That which is all-pervading, exists there as it is internally manifested

30

anādimadhyāntamanantavīryaṃ kiṃcinna kiṃcicca sadapyasatyam | sthitaṃ yathā yatra tadātma tatra sarvātmabhūrbhūtatṛṇādijātau || 30 ||

English

Without beginning, middle, or end, with infinite power, neither something nor nothing, both real and unreal | It exists as it is, wherever it is, that is the self, the essence of all beings from grass to the highest
