Sometimes, through gems, mantras, and herbs, it is unfailing, and sometimes it is failing. Thus, it is remembered as the true dream of consciousness.
satyasvapnasthitirlokeṣvīdṛgrūpā yadā sthitā tadaiṣā kākatālīyanyāyādanyā na labhyate || 4 ||
When the state of the true dream is established in the worlds in such a form, then it cannot be obtained by any other means than the logic of the crow's palm fruit.
In the beginning of creation, the sky of consciousness shines unobstructed in the world. The substance of existence, from consciousness itself, manifests as desired.
ataḥ svapnaḥ kvacitsatyaḥ kvaciccāsatya eva vā | abuddhānāṃ prabuddhānāṃ nāsadrūpo na sanmayaḥ || 14 ||
Therefore, a dream is sometimes real and sometimes unreal. For the ignorant, it is neither real nor unreal, but for the enlightened, it is neither unreal nor real.
This one, which is pure consciousness, is pervaded by space alone. The states of waking, dreaming, and deep sleep are merely different manifestations here.
yāvadbhānaṃ kila svapne tāvatsaiva niyantraṇā | sa eva saṃvidbhānasya kuryānniyamanaṃ muniḥ || 21 ||
As long as the light of consciousness shines in the dream, so long does the control persist | The sage should control the manifestation of consciousness || 21 ||
jāgratsvapnaśca cidbhānamātramevānyatātra kā | jāgrati svapnanagare vedanātsadṛśātmakam || 27 ||
Both the waking and dream states are merely the manifestation of consciousness. In the waking state, the dream city is perceived as similar to the experience.
tathānye pare sargāḥ sphurantyasphuritā api| śilākośāntalekhāvajjāgratsvāpādi tatra kim || 32 ||
Similarly, other higher creations also appear to be manifested, even if they are not. Like the lines on a stone or a wall, what is the reality in the states of wakefulness, dream, etc.?
The body that possesses the states of wakefulness, dream, deep sleep, and the fourth state, devoid of form, yet encompassing all forms, beyond all calculations, is pervaded by consciousness. Although it appears empty, it is filled with the essence of consciousness, and this sky is not different from the mere sky.
Even at the beginning of creation, the universe, including the sky, air, fire, water, earth, and other worlds, is purely consciousness. Devoid of names, it is united with the form of awareness. Pure experience alone is the entire visible reality, and there is no other substance.
