श्रीभगवानुवाच । इति निर्वासनत्वेन जीवन्मुक्ततयार्जुन । अन्तः शीतलतामेत्य बन्धुदुःखमलं त्यज ॥ १ ॥
śrībhagavānuvāca | iti nirvāsanatvena jīvanmuktatayārjuna | antaḥ śītalatāmetya bandhuduḥkhamalaṃ tyaja || 1 ||
The Supreme Lord said: Thus, O Arjuna, being liberated while living, attain inner peace and abandon the sorrow of your relatives.
श्री भगवान ने कहा: हे अर्जुन, इस प्रकार जीवन्मुक्त होकर, अन्तर की शीतलता प्राप्त करो और अपने बन्धुओं के दुःख को त्याग दो।
जरामरणनिःशङ्क आकाशविशदाशयः । त्यक्तेष्टानिष्टसंकल्पो वीतरागो भवानघ ॥ २ ॥
jarāmaraṇaniḥśaṅka ākāśaviśadāśayaḥ | tyakteṣṭāniṣṭasaṃkalpo vītarāgo bhavāngha || 2 ||
Free from the fear of old age and death, with a mind as clear as the sky, abandoning desires and aversions, become free from attachments, O sinless one.
बुढ़ापे और मृत्यु के भय से मुक्त, आकाश के समान निर्मल मन से, इच्छा और अनिच्छा को त्यागकर, आसक्तियों से मुक्त हो जाओ, हे निष्पाप।

Perform your duties as they come to you in the flow of life. Nothing here is destroyed.

प्रवाहपतितं कर्म स्वमेव क्रियते तु यत् । जीवन्मुक्तस्वभावोऽयं सा जीवन्मुक्तता तथा ॥ ४ ॥
pravāhapatitaṃ karma svameva kriyate tu yat | jīvanmuktasvabhāvo'yaṃ sā jīvanmuktatā tathā || 4 ||
The action that is performed in the natural flow is one's own. This is the nature of the liberated while living, and that is true liberation.

idaṃ karma tyajāmīdamāśrayāmīti nirṇayaḥ | mūḍhasya manaso rūpaṃ jñāninastu samā sthitiḥ || 5 ||
The decision to abandon this action and take refuge in that is the nature of the ignorant mind. The wise one remains in a state of equanimity.
यह कर्म त्यागूँ और उसमें आश्रय लूँ, यह अज्ञानी मन का स्वभाव है। ज्ञानी समान अवस्था में रहता है।
प्रवाहपतितं कर्म कुर्वन्तः शान्तचेतसः । जीवन्मुक्ताः सुषुप्तस्थाः स्फुरन्त्यत्र सुषुप्तवत् ॥ ६ ॥
pravāhapatitaṃ karma kurvantaḥ śāntacetasaḥ | jīvanmuktāḥ suṣuptasthāḥ sphurantyatra suṣuptavat || 6 ||
Those who perform actions that flow naturally, with a peaceful mind, are liberated while living and shine here like those in deep sleep.
जो लोग प्रवाह में आये कर्म करते हैं, शान्त चित्त से, वे जीवन्मुक्त होते हैं और यहाँ गहरी नींद में सोए हुए लोगों की तरह चमकते हैं।
स्थिरां संस्थितिमायान्ति कूर्माङ्गानीव सर्वशः । इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यो हृदि यस्य स्वभावतः ॥ ७ ॥
sthirāṃ saṃsthitimāyānti kūrmāṅgānīva sarvaśaḥ | indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyo hṛdi yasya svabhāvataḥ || 7 ||
They attain a steady state, like the limbs of a tortoise, when the senses are naturally withdrawn from their objects into the heart.
जब इन्द्रियाँ स्वाभाविक रूप से अपने विषयों से हृदय में वापस ले ली जाती हैं, तब वे कछुए के अंगों की तरह स्थिर अवस्था प्राप्त करते हैं।
विश्वात्मनि तथा विश्वं कालत्रयमयोदितम् । अभित्ति त्रिजगच्चित्रं कुरुते चित्तचित्रकृत् ॥ ८ ॥
viśvātmani tathā viśvaṃ kālatrayamayoditam | abhitti trijagaccitraṃ kurute cittacittrakṛt || 8 ||
In the universal self, the entire universe, manifested in the three times, appears as a varied picture created by the mind.
विश्वात्मा में, तीनों कालों में प्रकट हुआ सम्पूर्ण विश्व मन द्वारा बनाया गया एक विविध चित्र की तरह प्रतीत होता है।
व्योम्नि व्योमात्मकमपि प्रस्फुटं वृत्तिवर्तिभिः । चित्तचित्रकरेणादौ चित्रं चित्रं वितानितम् ॥ ९ ॥
vyomni vyomātmakamapi prasphuṭaṃ vṛttivartibhiḥ | cittacittrakareṇādau citraṃ citraṃ vitānitam || 9 ||
In the sky, even the sky itself appears clearly with the movements of the mind, initially creating various pictures.
आकाश में, मन की गतिविधियों के साथ, आकाश स्वयं भी स्पष्ट रूप से प्रतीत होता है, पहले विभिन्न चित्रों को बनाता है।

Afterwards, this appearance is created as the form of the sky, oh what a delusion! This great illusion is unprecedented, like a beautiful wall made of grass.

There is no difference between the mind and the perceived objects; these are the manifestations of the mind's projections.

vyomnaḥ śūnyatamā viddhi tāstāmarasalocanakṣaṇena cetasi yathā bhrāntau lokakṣayodayau || 12 ||
Know the sky to be the emptiest; like the illusion of the world's destruction and creation seen in the mind in an instant, like the flash of lightning.
आकाश को सबसे शून्य समझो; जैसे मन में एक क्षण में बिजली की चमक की तरह दुनिया के विनाश और सृजन का भ्रम दिखाई देता है।
आत्मा जगत्तथैवेदं सबाह्याभ्यन्तरं नभःचिरंतनमनोराज्यं यत्तस्मात्किल सत्यता ॥ १३ ॥
ātmā jagattathaivedaṃ sabāhyābhyantaraṃ nabhaḥciraṃtanamanorājyaṃ yattasmātkila satyatā || 13 ||
The self is indeed the world; it is both external and internal, the eternal sky, the ancient kingdom of the mind, and thus it is the truth.
आत्मा ही दुनिया है; यह बाहरी और अंतर्तम दोनों है, अनंत आकाश, मन का प्राचीन राज्य, और इसलिए यह सत्य है।

kiṃ tvanālokite'pi syātsatyaṃ nāstyeva vibhramekrameṇālokataḥ satyamālokena vilīyate || 14 ||
What truth can there be in illusion? There is no truth in illusion; truth is perceived gradually, and by perception, it dissolves.
भ्रम में सत्य क्या हो सकता है? भ्रम में सत्य नहीं है; सत्य क्रमशः अनुभव किया जाता है, और अनुभव से वह विलीन हो जाता है।
दृश्यमानमपि क्षामं शरदीवाभ्रमण्डलम्चित्तचित्रकृतश्चित्रे संस्थिताश्चित्रपुत्रिकाः ॥ १५ ॥
dṛśyamānamapi kṣāmaṃ śaradīvābhramaṇḍalamcittacitrakṛtaścitre saṃsthitāścitraputrikāḥ || 15 ||
Even the visible sky appears thin like an autumn cloud; in the painting created by the mind's projections, the images are established.
दृश्यमान आकाश भी शरद ऋतु के बादल की तरह पतला दिखाई देता है; मन की चित्रों की रचना में, चित्रों की छवियाँ स्थापित होती हैं।
भित्त्यभावादनाकारा बहिस्त्रिभुवनादिकाः । न ताः सन्ति न वासि त्वं किं केन परिरोध्यते ॥ १६ ॥
bhittyabhāvādanākārā bahistribhuvanādikāḥ | na tāḥ santi na vāsi tvaṃ kiṃ kena parirodhyate || 16 ||
Due to the absence of a wall, there is no form; the three worlds and so on are outside. They do not exist, nor do you dwell. What and by whom is it obstructed?
भित्ति के अभाव से कोई आकार नहीं है, तीनों लोक और आदि बाहर हैं। वे नहीं हैं, न ही तुम रहते हो। क्या और किसके द्वारा यह रोका जाता है?
रोध्यरोधकसंमोहं त्यक्त्वा खे विमलो भव । प्रवृत्तिरेव न व्योम्नः प्रवृत्तिश्चैव खात्मिका ॥ १७ ॥
rodhyarodhakasammohaṃ tyaktvā khe vimalo bhava | pravṛttireva na vyomnaḥ pravṛttiścaiva khātmikā || 17 ||
Abandoning the delusion of the obstructed and the obstructor, become pure in the sky. There is no activity of the sky, and the activity is indeed of the nature of the sky.
रोध्य और रोधक के मोह को त्यागकर, आकाश में निर्मल हो जाओ। आकाश की कोई गतिविधि नहीं है, और गतिविधि वास्तव में आकाश की प्रकृति की है।
अतः कालक्रियाकुड्यकलादिविमलं नभः । चित्तसंस्थं यथा चित्रं सरूपमखिलात्मकम् ॥ १८ ॥
ataḥ kālakriyākuḍyakalādivimalaṃ nabhaḥ | cittasaṃsthaṃ yathā citraṃ sarūpamakhilātmakam || 18 ||
Therefore, the pure sky is beyond time, action, body, and arts. Like a picture in the mind, it is of the same form and all-encompassing.

vyomnaḥ śūnyatamaṃ viddhi tathedamakhilaṃ jagat | cittabhittau kṛtaṃ citraṃ yacciccitrakareṇa tat || 19 ||
Know the sky to be the most void. Similarly, know this entire world. The picture made on the canvas of the mind is that which is made by the painter of consciousness.
आकाश को सबसे शून्य जानो। इसी तरह, इस सम्पूर्ण जगत को जानो। मन के कैनवास पर बना चित्र वही है जो चेतना के चित्रकार द्वारा बनाया गया है।
सर्वशून्यतया व्योम्नो मनागपि न भिद्यते । यथा प्रकचतश्चित्ते जगन्निर्माणसंक्षयौ ॥ २० ॥
sarvaśūnyatayā vyomno manāgapi na bhidyate | yathā prakacataścitte jagannirmāṇasaṃkṣayau || 20 ||
Due to the complete voidness, the sky is not even slightly differentiated. Just as in the mind, the creation and destruction of the world are manifested.
पूर्ण शून्यता के कारण, आकाश थोड़ा भी भिन्न नहीं होता। जैसे मन में, जगत की उत्पत्ति और विनाश प्रकट होते हैं।
क्षणेनैव तथैवेमौ भुविस्थाविति विद्धि हे । अद्य क्षीणा मनोराज्ये नानानुभवनात्मनि ॥ २१ ॥
kṣaṇenaiva tathaivemau bhuvistāviti viddhi he | adya kṣīṇā manorājye nānānubhavanātmani || 21 ||
Know that these two are situated on the earth in an instant | Today, the mind's kingdom is diminished due to various experiences
जान लो कि ये दोनों क्षण में ही पृथ्वी पर स्थित हैं | आज, मन का राज्य विभिन्न अनुभवों के कारण क्षीण हो गया है
क्षणभावितमोहेन कल्पना परिकल्पिता । असदेव मनोराज्यं कर्तुं शक्तं यथा मनः ॥ २२ ॥
kṣaṇabhāvitamohēna kalpanā parikalpitā | asadēva manorājyaṃ kartuṃ śaktaṃ yathā manaḥ || 22 ||
By the delusion arising in an instant, imagination is fabricated | Thus, the mind is capable of creating an unreal kingdom
क्षण में उत्पन्न भ्रम से कल्पना बनाई जाती है | इस प्रकार, मन असत्य राज्य बनाने में सक्षम है
क्षणस्य कल्पीकरणे तथैव बलवन्मनः । क्षणं कल्पीकरोत्येतत्तच्चाल्पं कुरुते बहु ॥ २३ ॥
kṣaṇasya kalpīkaraṇē tathaiva balavanmanaḥ | kṣaṇaṃ kalpīkarotyētat taccālpaṃ kurutē bahu || 23 ||
In the creation of an instant, the powerful mind | Makes the instant small and turns it into many

This delusion arises quickly, making the unreal appear real | By nature, the mind's kingdom appears in an instant
यह भ्रम तेजी से उत्पन्न होता है, असत्य को सत्य बनाता है | स्वाभाविक रूप से, मन का राज्य क्षण में प्रकट होता है
यद्विचित्रात्म तदिदं जगज्जालमिति स्थितम् । सर्गे निर्वाणनिष्ठत्वान्निमेषमयमुत्थितम् ॥ २५ ॥

That which has a varied nature, this is the web of the world | Arising from creation and firmly established in liberation, it appears in the blink of an eye
जो विविध स्वभाव वाला है, वही यह संसार का जाल है | सृष्टि से उत्पन्न और मुक्ति में दृढ़ता से स्थापित, यह पलक झपकते ही प्रकट होता है
प्रतिभामात्रतोऽत्रैव कल्पिता वज्रसारता । प्रतिभासविपर्यासमात्रं ह्यविदिताकृतेः ॥ २६ ॥
pratibhāmātrato'traiva kalpitā vajrasāratā | pratibhāsaviparyāsamātraṃ hyaviditākṛteḥ || 26 ||
The essence of the diamond-like nature is imagined here solely from the appearance of wisdom. It is merely an illusion of appearance, arising from the unknowable.
यहाँ बुद्धिमत्ता के प्रकटन से ही हीरे की तरह कठोरता की कल्पना की गई है। यह अज्ञात के उद्भव से एक भ्रम मात्र है।
प्रवृत्तौ वा निवृत्तौ वा कैव सा वज्रसारता । चित्तचित्रकृतश्चित्स्थं जगच्चित्रं कदा स्थितम् ॥ २७ ॥
pravṛttau vā nivṛttau vā kaiva sā vajrasāratā | cittacitrakeścitsthaṃ jagaccitraṃ kadā sthitam || 27 ||
Whether in activity or inactivity, what is that diamond-like nature? When is the world, which is a mere creation of the mind, ever stable?
चाहे गतिविधि में हो या अगतिविधि में, वह हीरे की तरह कठोरता क्या है? मन की सृष्टि मात्र यह संसार कब स्थिर है?
अकुड्यमप्यरङ्गाढ्यमिदं स्फारमिवाग्रतः । अहो नु चित्रं निर्भित्ति चित्रमुज्ज्वलमुत्थितम् ॥ २८ ॥
akuḍyamapyaraṅgāḍhyamidaṃ sphāramivāgrataḥ | aho nu citraṃ nirbhitti citramujjvalamutthitam || 28 ||
This is not a mere painting, yet it appears vividly before us. Oh, how wonderful is this creation, so radiant and manifest!

surañjanaṃ jagaditi sphuṭaṃ dṛṣṭivilobhanam | nānātamomaṣīlekhaṃ nānātejoṃśurañjanam || 29 ||
The world is a clear deception of vision, a diverse array of dark and bright elements, a variegated spectacle.
संसार दृष्टि का एक स्पष्ट भ्रम है, अनेक अंधकार और प्रकाश के तत्वों का विविध संग्रह, एक विविध दृश्य।
नानाकल्पाङ्गावयवं नानारागानुरञ्जितम् । नानादृष्टिविलासाढ्यं नानानुभवलोचनम् ॥ ३० ॥
nānākalpāṅgāvayavaṃ nānārāgānurañjitam | nānādṛṣṭivilāsāḍhyaṃ nānānubhavalocanam || 30 ||
The world is composed of various imagined parts, colored by various emotions, adorned with various perspectives, and seen through various experiences.
संसार विविध कल्पित अंगों से बना है, विविध भावों से रंगा है, विविध दृष्टिकोणों से सजा है, और विविध अनुभवों से देखा जाता है।
नानाग्रहोग्रकचनं नानाकाराग्रपश्चिमम् । व्योमनीलसरः फुल्लताराचन्द्रार्कपङ्कजम् ॥ ३१ ॥
nānāgrahograka canaṃ nānākārāg rapaścimam | vyomanīlasaraḥ phullatārācandrārkapankajam || 31 ||
The universe is filled with various fierce planets and diverse forms, with the sky resembling a blue lake adorned with blooming stars, moon, sun, and lotuses.
ब्रह्मांड विभिन्न भयंकर ग्रहों और विविध रूपों से भरा हुआ है, आकाश नीले सरोवर के समान है जिसमें खिले हुए तारे, चंद्रमा, सूर्य और कमल सुशोभित हैं।
विचित्ररचनोद्युक्तमेघालीपत्रमञ्जरि । प्रकोष्ठकामिलिखितसुरासुरनृपुत्रिकम् । परमालोकमङ्कोलयुवताकाशकुडयकम् ॥ ३२ ॥
vicitraracanodyuktame ghālīpatramanjari | prakoṣṭhakāmilikhita surāsuranrputrikam | paramālokamankolayuvatākāśakuḍayakam || 32 ||
The universe is adorned with marvelous creations, clouds resembling painted leaves and buds, with divine and demonic forms inscribed in the corners, and the supreme world is like a swing in the sky.
ब्रह्मांड अद्भुत सृष्टियों से सुशोभित है, बादल रंगे हुए पत्तों और कलियों के समान हैं, कोनों में दिव्य और असुरीय रूप अंकित हैं, और परम जगत आकाश में एक झूले के समान है।

The sky itself is created with unique brilliance, charming the three worlds with its delightful forms. The entire universe is adorned with the wheel of pure consciousness, filled with playful and fickle-minded creators.

The golden mountain ranges are adorned with dense forests, and the world is illuminated by the glances of the moon and the sun. The scriptures are controlled by dharma, artha, and kama, and the earth is elevated by the net-like feet of the underworld.
सुवर्ण पर्वत श्रृंखलाएँ घने जंगलों से सुशोभित हैं, और चंद्रमा और सूर्य की दृष्टि से जगत प्रकाशित है। शास्त्र धर्म, अर्थ और काम द्वारा नियंत्रित हैं, और पृथ्वी पाताल के जाल-जैसे पैरों से उन्नत है।

ब्रह्मा, इंद्र, रुद्र और हरि के शक्तिशाली चार-भुजा रूप शुद्धता के सार से सुशोभित हैं, जिनके वक्ष और अंग चमकदार हैं। पृथ्वी सर्पों से घिरी हुई है और कमल की आसनों से सुशोभित है, और महान पर्वत ब्रह्मांड के कमल के पंखुड़ियों के समान हैं।

rātryandhakāracapalatvaharākṣiceṣṭā tārākarālapulakā pavidantapaṅktiḥ | cañcaccaturdaśavidhātulabhūtajātaroṃāñcana pralayavādakadambapuṣpā || 36 ||
The night's darkness, with its flickering movements, steals the beauty of the stars, causing them to tremble in the sky. The fourteen types of beings, with their hair standing on end, are like the flowers of the Kadamba tree that bloom during the dissolution.
रात का अंधकार, अपनी चपलता से, तारों की चमक को चुरा लेता है, जिससे वे आकाश में काँपने लगते हैं। चौदह प्रकार के प्राणी, अपने रोम खड़े करके, प्रलय के समय कदम्ब के फूलों की तरह खिलते हैं।
जीवान्विता गगन एव कृता विचित्रा व्योमात्मिका चिरविलक्षणचित्रकर्त्रा । चित्तेन चित्रपरिकर्मविदा त्रिलोकी नानाविलासवलिता वरपुत्रिकेति ॥ ३७ ॥
jīvānvitā gagana eva kṛtā vicitrā vyomātmikā ciravilakṣaṇacitrakartrā | cittena citraparikarmavidā trilokī nānāvilāsavalitā varaputriketi || 37 ||
The sky is filled with life, made wondrous by its celestial nature, and adorned with unique and marvelous creations. The three worlds, with their diverse forms of enjoyment, are known as the abode of the supreme daughter.
