Once, there arose a desire in him, who was endowed with the power of awakening, to contemplate the true nature of Brahman, as he was engaged in deep meditation.
sarvendriyaguṇairmuktaṃ sarvendriyaguṇānvitamasaktaṃ sarvabhṛccaiva nirguṇaṃ guṇabhoktṛ ca || 10 ||
It is free from all sense qualities, yet it possesses all sense qualities. It is unattached, the supporter of all, without qualities, and the enjoyer of qualities.
Everywhere is the essence of the moon and the sun, everywhere is the essence of the earth, everywhere is the essence of the mountains, and everywhere is the essence of the ocean.
Everywhere is the essence of the guru, everywhere is the essence of the sky, everywhere is the essence of the cycle of life, and everywhere is the essence of the universe.
Everywhere is the essence of liberation, everywhere is the essence of the primordial consciousness, everywhere is the essence of all meanings, and everywhere is devoid of all.
Just as the pungency of black pepper is perceived in its absence, and emptiness is perceived in the sky, the three worlds exist in the pure consciousness, whether they are real or unreal.
The lord of the Vidyadhara clan, known as Devaraja, is indeed the same today | Understand that he is born from the lineage of that Indra, as it truly is || 21 ||
Thus, this illusion (māyā) is long-lasting and expansive, directed towards impressions, and its sole delight is in the dissolution that comes from merely glancing at the truth.
Like a cloud that appears from the mere sight of wonder at the sense of 'I', it arises quickly like a mirage and is destroyed by mere observation.
yenāyatābhimatadarśanadraṣṭṛdṛśyamuktasvabhāvamavabhāsanamātmatattvam | sarvārthaśūnyamata eva ca śūnyarūpamekaṃ khamātramiva mātravikalpameva || 29 ||
By which the desired vision, the seer, and the seen are revealed as having the nature of liberation, that is the essence of the self. It is devoid of all meanings and thus has the form of emptiness, like the mere sky, merely a conceptual construct.
