Sri Rama said: Ah, from dwelling on the meaning of your words, I have gone beyond my own mind. This web of the world, though it stands right before me, has gone quiet for me, lord.
I have become one whose doubt is gone, whose mirage of desire has gone still, free from both attachment and non-attachment, cool like a dry, empty land washed clean.
adyāhaṃ prakṛtistho'smi svastho'smi mudito'smi ca | lokārāmo'smi rāmo'smi namo mahyaṃ namostu te || 7 ||
Today I am settled in my own true nature; I am at ease, and I am joyful. I am the joy of the world; I am Rama. Salutation to myself, and salutation to you.
The doubt that asked why and how the self has a stain, and doubts like it, have surely been torn out by the root, the way darkness vanishes before the moon.
Everything, everywhere, always, is the self alone, its nature now seen clearly. So how could the false idea that this is one thing and that is another ever arise?
aho nu vitatāṃ bhūmimadhirūḍho'smi pāvanīm | ihastha eva yatrārko na pātālamiva sthitaḥ || 14 ||
Ah indeed, I have risen onto a vast, purifying ground. Though I remain right here, it is as if I stood in the underworld, where the sun does not reach.
Eternal salutation to myself, who has reached true being out of the ocean of becoming made of existence and non-existence, ever worthy of salutation. The self triumphs, by the self, within the self.
Through the power of direct experience, having come, in the bud of my heart's lotus, to a state grown clear and pure, lord, by your excellent words I have now reached, here, a state free of sorrow and forever joyful.
